I know a great contractor - Michal - who might be able to help you with that. He is not expensive at all, has a company in Bethesda, and have great reviews on Yelp - (they are filtered by Yelp, so you have to click the link that says "Read filtered reviews" - Yelps way to destroy small businesses

It happened to me and the doctor was just an i...t! He told me there is NO baby and I should have a miscarriage.. But I did not believe him, I still felt kind of sick, so I just waited and in the mean time did some research online. I found out it is really too early to see something on ultrasound. I went to his office two weeks later and he told me: "Here is the heart beating, can you see that?" We were so mad at him with my boyfriend because if I have not decided, he would send me for the procedure and now I would not be 3 months away from seeing my baby girl!!!!! SO, really, do not worry!!!! It is just too early to see..

I've read that the doctor can actually try to turn the baby to the right position. Maybe you can ask him about that possibility.

I definitely say the BASSINET - it is not about YOUR comfort, but about the baby!!! Can you imagine the baby being in a car seat for a long time? It is really not good for his or her back and growth. If you look around Europe, there are mostly strollers with bassinets - that is what our mothers and grandmothers used. Do not choose your comfort over the babies health!
