MD IPA will make you get a new referral when you start coverag with them, so just a heads up (per the office at our clinic, anyway). They have said md ipa is much easier to work with.

ITA. I suffer from RPL and I have the same reaction when someone announces that they are pregnant - esp. if it's still the 1st tri. Of course I never say anything, but I think it.

We've lost our innocence. There's no going back.

Agree about the first tri. Two coworkers wives are in their first tri, one pretty early (like 8 or 9 weeks) and it is very uncomfortable. It's too early to share with non-close people.
Best of luck to you all, report back!

I never thought I would be where I am, but would love to see celebrities show support for fertility awareness. Most people can't afford her route.
So, I'm getting from DCUM that if I ever go with Aetna, I should just buy my own meds out of pocket - the cost will be about the same, but there will be significantly less aggravation!

I think if you have issues, you really should send feedback to OPM - they deserve to know what is happening with the plans they offer. They might not know, and can put pressure on Aetna (maybe just in theory??) to do better.
Hope everyone is doing well.
Trying to stay positive - waiting for this cycle to start to I have one more cycle before starting BCP.
However, trying even more to keep to myself after two workers announced that their wives are pregnant (one 8 weeks, one 12 weeks, [but he told us at 10 weeks]) and then everyone sharing about Princess Kate - I mean, give her time to at least breathe!
I feel very uncomfortable knowing about such early pregnancies - I'm sure a lot of it is the whole old Jewish lady in me, where we don't tell people this early....and the whole "well isn't it nice that someone like Jessica Simpson can sneeze and get knocked up again? Yet I have to go through this BS?"

Ugh

That said, I'm looking for IVF book recommendations to learn more - but wondering if that's a bad idea and I should just let my doctor do his thing.
So, problem possibly solved - I decided to try One Medical Group - it's a "members only" clinic, but I got a mailer for three months free, so 12 months for $150. I called, got an appointment for 2 January at 8:30 in the morning!

I figured that with all the paperwork that might need to get done, it might be worth the investment to work with - even if only until it's all worked out - a front office that seems to be reliable. They take insurance, and the yelp reviews are positive.
YAY! Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping for the best!

Hopefully, happy and healthy 9 months to you!

(plus, makes me happy to see GW IVF positives...sigh)
I went to fill my scrips for the BCP and Doxy. The pharmacist leans in and says, "the doxy counters the birth control, so you could become pregnant."

IF ONLY, lady, if only.
The above was me - it signed me off, hence anonymous. But thanks for the recommendation - it has mixed reviews on yelp, but I can only trust yelp to a point and I figure the women on here are like me (not easy to please when it comes to docs!)
hm, interesting, PP.
the only issue I see would be the drugs.

I'm getting my non-injects through Tricare right now but those are minimal.

Ideally I could find a decent PCP to get me the referral earlier in January...so, if anyone still has a recommendation, I'm open!

Thanks for the info!
(I likely don't want to chat with them, either )
Yes, sorry - you need a PCP that takes MD IPA to do a referral.

i thought some women here might have an MD IPA doc they like (or like enough, this person doesn't have to be my doc forever, just need a referral).

I called GW internal medicine, since it might be easier to have everything in the same system...but their first PCP appointment with any doctor (and I called about a month ago!) was 14 January.

If I assume MD IPA takes 5 days or so to approve, I would think we're still cutting it a little close in terms of starting stims, but I could be wrong.
The first appointment I could get at GW for a PCP exam - with MD IPA or ANY insurance - is 14 January. I have the appointment, but I'm wondering if anyone has a PCP that they particularly recommend under MD IPA?

I've got a car and am willing to travel, but I can't really find any reviews. I'm totally spoiled because my PCP is great, but she became a members only clinic so I no longer see her.

I am interested in starting a cycle early in January since day 1 of my cycle SHOULD start at the end of December, meaning 2-3 weeks of BCP.

Am I being unrealistic?
at what point do they ask for the marriage certificate? We're trying to start a cycle in January - should I send them a copy right away in January?
