Anyone else enduring the TWW torture right now?

Anyone else enduring the TWW right now? Our beta is on Saturday and we're going nuts. It's our third cycle so we've been through this before, but it still sucks. We spent the weekend decorating for Christmas and being alternatively happy and super depressed. I'm trying to keep busy with a super long to do list but can't concentrate on anything for more than an hour. Also trying really hard not to POAS. I bought a bulk pack of HPTs and ovulation sticks from Amazon a few months ago so it's really tempting to use one of the HPTs...

What are others doing to get through the TWW?

theres no easy way through it, good luck! (id stay away from the sticks btw)

I am...its awful. I have a longer wait still for my beta and am just obsessing over every twinge, or lack there of. Thinking good thoughts for you!

3 more days for me.

Like you, I try to think of one nice thing a day for myself, like an at-home facial mask or a new trashy magazine. Like you, this is our third cycle and I've found this to be the easiest, because in a perverse way, i don't want this TWW to end, because I know I will be devastated if this one doesn't work, and right now I'd rather be blissfully ignorant of how this one turns out.

It will pass quickly!

OP here. Thanks to all for sharing! It's nice to know there are others going through the same thing.

Just got word today that my progesterone level is a little low at 8.5. I'm now supplementing the endometirum with progesterone as well, but am kind of freaking out. Is this something I should be worried about? I'm supposed to test again on Wed. to see where levels are at. Anyone else have this issue? My previous RE didn't even test the last two cycles so I guess it's good we're doing something about it this time? Just another thing for me to obsess about over the next few days I guess.

Good luck to everyone!

15:43 here. Went this A.m. for my beta-16 days after retrieval and 11 days past a 5day transfer. I was told that I should have come on Friday, or 2 weeks after transfer. I can't imagine at this point that there's a chance of a false negative, right? Either they've implanted by now or they won't, right?

Good Luck PP.

I would think so! What clinic and why weren't they clear when you scheduled the beta?

CFA. To be fair, the nurse did schedule me for Friday, but their IVF paperwork tells you that betas are scheduled 16 days after retrieval, which was today. Maybe they changed their protocol, but haven't updated their handouts?

Would not be surprised, PP. That office is a DISASTER. When I went there, they always scheduled my first beta for 9 days after transfer, so it's weird that they have changed to 11 days - and even weirder that they would wait for 2 weeks.

I'm now at GWU and they scheduled my first beta for 10 days after transfer, if that helps give an additional reference.

thanks, pp, that is helpful. i understand that they don't want patients prematurely showing up 5 or 6 days after transfer, but 2 weeks seems like a ridiculously long wait to see if it worked.

One thing that I realized this last TWW: I should NOT think about all the "what ifs" - i.e., picture myself getting positive news and then two minutes later picture myself getting negative news. it's just too much of an emotional roller costar. this may be obvious to other people, but trying to NOT picture and visualize both outcomes of "the call" was really helpful to me.

oh, and I made a list of things I would do if I wasn't pregnant (things to eat, a cleanse I wanted to do, go hiking on a dangerous-if-pregnant kind of trail ,etc.) when my last ivf failed it was really helpful to go to the list and do all those things.

but this one succeeded.

SGF had me come in 18 days after transfer, is that normal?
