For the smaller clubs breaking or even being mentioned with these big clubs that play ECNL or even GA- even better showing of development by their club and coaches to be in the same ranking. That is what it means to me.
That is a great common sense answer. Thanks.
And there are a lot of ways these teams can be ranked to suit a particular narrative.
All the listed teams are good soccer teams in the larger sense. Richmond has clear separation from the group and VDA has a little bit of separation. But Arlington, Bethesda, Union, FCV and Loudoun are all in pretty tight grouping. Then Metro is on the outside looking in with a pretty sharp drop off after them.
Bethesda has obviously improved. Union seems to be coming together and will have faced the top 3 teams in the conference in the first 5 games. VDA will be fine. Arlington is off to a good start but seem to be stalling a bit.
FCV will roll in GA but their competition is highly suspect and so their score lines should give strong reason for pause. FCV tends to struggle in more evenly matched competition outside of their league conference. FCV has yet to beat an opponent that is ranked higher than they are currently ranked. If you are a top ten team Nationally this isn't that big of deal but when you are ranked 73rd there are still lots of opportunities to play higher ranked teams with a reasonable chance to succeed.
Then you should add whoever is top of NCSL, I mean you are adding Metro.
No, the level of competition at GA is much higher than NCSL. The average national ranking in Metro's GA conference is 374.
Of the teams ranked in ECNL-R for Northern VA the overall National Ranking average is 685. Great Falls and Villareal are not ranked or are at least not accurately listed, but their rankings would likely be worse than 1500 in the nation.
You don't have to believe Metro is good, but to say they are no better than NCSL when the team has been successful against significantly higher competition than NCSL or ECNL-R is crazy.
There is a anti metro troll. I think they have some issue with a coach over there or their kid tried out but was not selected.
Not at all. after Arlington left the GAL there is no real competition, GA fell to the level of EDP, CCL, NCSL, and very close to ECNL-R.
The rankings average are post Arlington. Arlington 08 finished 3rd in GA last year. They were hardly the anchor of the league or even the age group and as such they got swept in the GA playoffs over the summer.

Two- rankings based on PPG when you have such a disparity in the number of games played is silly.
Also- when looking at the links you sent- they’re doing pretty damn good when you look at their current standings out of 60 teams in each age group. Top 8 in all age groups except one out of 60 teams. Again- shooting yourself in the foot.
Four- check out how they did at the national Florida event against the teams at the top of the standings you sent and get back to us hahaha

When PSG beats up on French competition, no one cares because all of the attention is on bigger, more competitive leagues like EPL. Hey look, PSG won the French league title! See no one cares. Look, FCV is the #2 GA club in the mid Atlantic and beat Skyline in league play! See no one cares or is impressed.
It’s clear that this is a sensitive issue for FCV dad. If your DD is so good, why not try to compete in the top league? There’s plenty of options to choose from in the area. I guess it’s easier to just beat up on GA competition and keep up the facade.
FCV is in 1st in every age group except for 08s and 03s. SJEB is only 1st in 08s. Take your u-little and get back to us when it matters.
See. No one cares. Congrats on being the top GA mid Atlantic team! Maybe a playoff with the CCL and NCSL league champs to see who has the most bragging rights!
FCV is not the top GA team in any age group
Uhm what? Lol.
How is this even controversial:
U13: 7th. https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7756
U14: 2nd https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7755
U15: 6th https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7760
U16: 8th https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7759
U17: 5th https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7758
U18: 13th https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/1805/schedules?group=7757 (based on ppg)
It is a good showing, but the PP is accurate. FCV is not the top GA team in any age group. Facts do matter.
They were talking nationally? Don’t think so.
And comparing teams that played 20 games to teams that played 10? ROFL
