I agree with you big time....had fried chitlins when I was younger.tasted like I was chewing on rubber lol I'll pass from now on
I have no problem with women of other backgrounds .act like you got good sense & we can be the best of lovers.
I can't say "my wife" since I was never married but an ex girlfriend of mines always felt the need to go clubbing every week.sometimes soon as she came from club she would come over to see me but I never liked that.I felt the club was a spot for people to mingle ..did my ex ever meet & keep in contact with a guy she met in the club? I don't know but i wouldn't be surprised if she did..you have every right to be the way you do about that situation.

Also have a few black friends who are spectacular cooks, and I always look forward to the dishes they bring to parties!

Love it. I learned how to drive in a 78 impala. It was 10 years old when I learned. Loved that car.
Yeah great cars..easy on maintenance ..good on gas (depending on if you swap the v8 small block for something bigger )
NP - in college I had an 85 impala with a 305 4bbl and tow hitch; best car I ever owned. Quick, tons of space, quiet as a tomb, and drove like you were riding on a cloud (really miss the classic American boulevard cruiser). Wish I'd never gotten rid of it
Yeah alotta guys who I've had car-talk with said they regret not having there older model cars ..every -single - time

Congrats on your 2nd....I always wondered how effective those beetles was (as far as gas..if they had alotta problems with them & so on) but from the way you talking it gets the job done.
gas mileage not as great as you might think. On the highway, it is pretty decent, but who around here in their daily life isn't doing a lot of stop and start driving? But, with as little mileage as I put on my car, it hasn't been an issue. As for other issues, there were a couple warranty items that I have gotten fixed pretty easily, but it is aggravating that every little electrical thing that goes wrong costs $500+ - but, I would assume that is pretty common these days with every car being computerized.

Again, it has been a great little car that gets me from point A to B. We took it on a couple road trips, just me and my husband. When you can fold down the back seat, there is a large amount of cargo space. Definitely not a car you can use as an "only car" with a family, though.

It does make me feel like a rebel, though, out amongst the minivans and SUVs.
Lol@makes you feel like a rebel....yeah I hear ya
Congrats on your 2nd....I always wondered how effective those beetles was (as far as gas..if they had alotta problems with them & so on) but from the way you talking it gets the job done.
A female if she keeps herself up to par (exercise.diet...don't abuse alcohol etc) can age very little ..its all in how you live.I've seen older women in 50s-60s that was attractive & looked younger.but hey that's just my opinion

My husband drives a Ford Fusion Hybrid.

We live in the burbs and my husband commutes about 100 miles round trip per day (not to downtown DC, either).

My car is 12 years old and has less than 80K on it - I don't drive a lot as I have worked from home a good part of the last 5 years and used public transport as much as possible before that.

Sounds like you 2 have a organized system Going

Anonymous wrote:I like fried chicken, BBQ (chicken now because I no longer eat pork or beef), Mac and cheese (OP, the traditional soul food Mac and cheese isn't creamy right?), potato salad, corn bread, and I like other southern sides like coleslaw and chow chow and fried okra, but I'm not sure if they're "soul food." I don't love collards and yams.

For the health conscious: has anyone tried Everlasting Life, the new vegan soup food restaurant in Takoma? Or Woodlands?

To answer your question you asked me..no baked macaroni & cheese is dry & cheesy..the macaroni & cheese in the box you make on top of the stove (like Velveeta & Kraft's) that's all soupy don't count
