I've been homeschooling my son for a year, with two other parents/kids. They all started at 19mos and 2. Those two kids are going to "real" preschool and i will continue homeschooling my son (3.5) and my daughter (20mos) for another year. They are 20 mos and 3.5. Email me and I can forward you some ideas and websites. I've loved it.

I have a friend with a kid there and they love her. I checked into it, but decided against it because they have a dog and I'm allergic. I didn't want my kids coming home with dog fur and making me sneeze. She seems awesome. I walk by there frequently and hear kids playing outside or see them in the grocery store. It's like having astray at home mom experience.

Do you know of a preschool who has openings in the afternoon either 2 or 3 days a week for a 3 year old?
I live in Rockville and would prefer to stay within Montgomery County.
They also need to be flexible with immunizations, or allow wavers for them.
Thank you!
After calculating child care costs, taxes and then my take home pay, I decided to be a stay at home mom for a few years. I work part time doing something I enjoy, it is more of a hobby really.
My husband and I are both paying for our student loans, and every Money magazine that we get says the same thing: MAKE YOUR KIDS PAY FOR COLLEGE THEMSELVES. Put your "extra" money into retirement.
Also, buy every thing 2nd hand, or get hand me downs, breastfeed as long as you can to cut down on formula/food/dr visit costs, cloth diaper to cut down on disposable costs.
We spent about $700 for my son's first year.
