Half shirts to high school!

This is all we saw in the juniors section of various stores - half shirts. My 14 year old freshman wants to wear them to school (MCPS). Some show belly button and are a bit snug-fitting but that seems to be what kids are wearing these days. I just don’t know if they’re wearing them to school…

| Dd and I hit up several teen friendly stores at the mall a couple of weeks ago and there was little to choose from aside from crop tops. For school she bought a few in a larger size so that they will actually meet her waistband. Good thing high waisted pants are in style. |

| Lots are. It doesn’t mean all of them are. It’s up to you if you want to allow but she’s not exaggerating if she says a lot have them on at school. -HS teacher. My daughter isn’t wearing them, as far as I know. |

It doesn’t bother me. But I don’t want her to wear them if they’re considered inappropriate. I am 100% clueless about fashion and always have been, and so is she, for the most part. |

| High school teacher in MCPS. Yes, they're wearing them to school. It's up to you if you're ok with that, but they're not forbidden and lots of girls are wearing them. |
