Fine for walking in the neighborhood, getting coffee, the mall, but school? No.

A top 5 reason our kids are/were private lifers: Dress code. I'm not kidding. Seeing public school tween and teen girls on school days dressed like this (and the boys dressed like bums) makes me so sad. It's low and gross.

Other people's clothing choices make you "so sad"?

Yep. Sorry you're apparently numb to it after seeing so many public school kids dress like sluts and/or bums who just rolled out of bed. It's genuinely sad.

I went to private school and had to dress 80s business casual every single frocking day. To please adults.

I actually feel good when I see kids in high school wearing what they want -- high school and college are the last times in life they will have to do this, so why not let them enjoy it?

This is what I am trying to point out.

In HS and college, you are at peak attractiveness, why not enjoy it?

If it's not against the dress code, I wouldn't really bother pushing back on it. A lot of them show only like an inch of skin anyway. We all wore questionable things in hs and rolled our eyes at the adults who told us not to. There's a lot going on in the world, I don't have the energy for this fight.

You trashy public school parents living through your sexualized kids can never help yourself with your fake posts. "I was a private school life, but..." Yeah, sure.

The elite private schools, the ones with no dress codes, are the ones this mom is too socially inept to have ever heard of.

You can't wear half shirts to any big 3 or exeter or philips for that matter. Nice try though. I know, I know, our daughters are all bigger sluts than your daughters and all their classmates are addicted to cocaine. Go watch another 80s movie.

Absolutely agree
This is the time in life for these to be worn.

Lol. My point still stands.

It's really sad you think anyone's daughter is a slut too, but that just speaks sad volumes that no one is interested in reading about your own experiences.

PP here. I hate to break it to you, but the the family in question has sent all their kids to uniform-required private schools, even half-shirt daughter.
