| It’s a classic. I recently rewatched the first season and it hasn’t aged at all. It’s so poignant. Coach Taylor is my all time favorite TV character. |

I got bogged down in year 3 (I think it was). I think it was the “weird soap opera” storyline referenced above. I enjoyed it until then. I keep thinking I’ll go back and give it another try. FWIW, I grew up in a town about that size in Texas, so maybe it was a little too close to home? |

There was a writers strike and the show went off the rails for a few episodes but it comes back to normal. |
