Just binged Friday Night Lights

Just finishing watching FNL. Can’t get over how good it was. Good for the soul.

I'm considering binging it for a second time. So good.

I don’t like football, and Texas I’m avoiding like the plague. Would I still enjoy it?

Yes. It really doesn’t have much to do with football and Texas is an amazing backdrop for the story. It could be any small town really. The character development is unbelievable. It is amazing to watch.

agreed. Husband and I are watching it as our "show" now and I can barely stand it. Season 1 episode 12 we're on.
I hate the jumpy documentary style camera work.

Matt Saracen is in Midnight Mass for anyone who wants to see the actor in another show.

I can NOT imagine growing up in a place where everyone cares about this one thing that I couldn't care less about, to the point that businesses CLOSE on game days.

I have not watched this show, but I lived it.

The show is based on the movie that's based on the book - I graduated Midland Lee in 1990. I was in the band and was at every football game, home and away for all of high school.

I don't know that businesses really closed on game day, but yeah, Friday nights you went to the game.

It was fun while I was there. Memories I don't think my kids will have, some of that for worse and some of that for better.

It’s brilliant. Probably already been said, but the book is also awesome (the show is loosely based on the book).

I tried to watch the first episode and I just hated all the characters so much, especially the women. I feel like I’m missing something bc everyone loves it. I really like Connie Britton in other things, but hated her here.
