Favorite "bad" chain restaurants

Other than Chipotle and Cava, I despise most chains. The one that I like, that most love to hate on, is Olive Garden. I know it's not the best Italian, and the texture on the chicken is a little rubbery, but the flavors are good and I never leave hungry- thanks salad/soup, breadsticks, and then meal. It's a lot of food. I also don't mind Texas Roadhouse.

There is only one answer to this and it is Buffalo Wild Wings. Long live B-Dubs!

I agree with Olive Garden. Haven’t been to one in ages though.

Outback. I don't think you can get a better steak for the money.

I personally have a weakspot for:

Fish Taco
Cava
Popeyes

If I am going to go somewhere with a waitstaff, I'm not doing Olive Garden, Applebees or Cracker Barrel. Not to say that the food is inedible, but never feels worth it at the final bill.

Many, many years ago, I will confess that I didn't mind Denny's and Marie Calendars.

Fish Taco is barely a chain. They have 3 restaurants all within a few miles of each other, run by a local family.

For fast food:
Chick-fil-A
Sonic
Shake Shack

For sit-down restaurants:
Buffalo Wild Wings
Red Robin

The Texas Roadhouse near is really tasty. We get takeout from there all the time and the food it always hot (or cold, if it's salad) and they do a great job. I'm a big fan.

Depends on what you count as a chain. I like some of the smaller restaurant group type chains (BarTaco, True Food Kitchen, the Great Americans, etc.) But I think places like Chili’s and TGIFriday’s are re-heated frozen garbage. Olive Garden is a guilty pleasure though, but only because I love the soup, salad, and breadsticks.
