Favorite "bad" chain restaurants

Olive Garden. I always get the unlimited salad and soup. I’m embarrassed by how much I like it.

Texas Roadhouse is good! I’m a die hard Waffle House fan for life, love Taco Bell, and I’m not opposed to Olive Garden either

Ok yeah I will eat the hell out of a Red Robin burger

Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse. We had both in my Midwestern college town, and I would make sure I got to eat at both whenever my parents came to visit.

And once I turned 21 and could drink out of the honor system jug of wine, it was heaven!

Cheesecake Factory, and only for this one salad that I love. The dressing is addictive.

Cracker Barrel is better than people make it out to be. Just basic decent food, if you stay away from obvious calorie bombs.

Yep I agree. Also I like to browse the silly games and stuff in the gift store. It’s a nice way to break up a long road trip (plus they have clean bathrooms).

Yeah, it’s our guilty pleasure. We only visit them in MD and PA though.

Chili’s and Cracker Barrel as my esteemed fellow posters have already acknowledged.

If I am going to go somewhere with a waitstaff, I'm not doing Olive Garden, Applebees or Cracker Barrel. Not to say that the food is inedible, but never feels worth it at the final bill.

Many, many years ago, I will confess that I didn't mind Denny's and Marie Calendars.

Cava does not even remotely count

Cracker Barrel and Olive Garden. Honestly at this point in my life I would take either of those over some allegedly “good” independent restaurant nine times out of ten.

Our car broke down last week and while waiting on the tow truck we walked over to the Longhorn in the same shopping plaza. I have not been in years and it was so good. Extremely salty and terrible for you but I enjoyed everything we ordered.
