I'm told it was officially announced at a club event that was held at Evergreen tonight. One would assume that this means FCV and Barca will be looking for somewhere else to practice when their existing contracts for field space end.

VA revolution doesn't have enough teams to fill it up I'm sure they will still be looking to rent out space. Otherwise they've got empty time slots if in fact this is true

judging by the press release it wasn't purchased by "the club" per se, but by a wealthy group of parents/investors who i assume have kids in the club. who wouldn't want to play for a youth club controlled by wealthy investors?

Loudoun County’s premier multi-sport facility, Evergreen Sportsplex, has been acquired by Revolution Investments LLC. Revolution Investments stated goal is to support the growth of Virginia Revolution Soccer Club and to advance the level of soccer investment in Northern Virginia. “We are not aware of any similar investment of this size for the benefit of a youth soccer club in the Metro D.C. area.

So rather than pay for fields, they buy the complex and then rent out excess to others.
