VA Revolution has purchased Evergreen Sportsplex

If FCV and Barca are hurt by this, then I wonder if Loudoun Soccer helped finance the purchase.

Either this or Nico thinks he can do a better job than BP, has better financial backing interested in investing in Dmv soccer vs a big gym and is making his move.

How do you know there is too much money in DC? When a team’s parents are frustrated with their kids team’s practice logistics, so they decide to solve the problem by chipping in and buying a 44-acre Soccer Complex.

Think they’ll fix the gravel parking lot and have a second way out?

Right, I’m sure these other clubs with hundreds of paying parents will just close up shop because the fields come under new owners. No way they could negotiate to use a couple of the fields. There are other fields you know. Money solves these problems

LS secretly funds the sale of Evergreen to one club to dispense two others?

Where do I invest in tinfoil hats.

A new county run facility with 10 soccer fields is opening in spring 2022, right down the road from Evergreen.

Evergreen is a nice facility, and the investors purchased land which in NoVa will only go up in value. Interest rates are stupid low. So the cash out is electric and utility bills, maintenance crew, facility maintenance and property taxes. Cash in are field rental fees, restaurant vendor fees, sponsors (billboards), parking fees for church overflow paid by church. Not a bad investment. Cash flow break even while the property appreciates and your club gets to use nice fields.
