I enjoyed reading that - I admire her so much!

These glowing stories would be written about literally any Democratic president’s press secretary. She seems mediocre, at best.

That's a really boring picture -- it looks like something I would take with my cellphone. I expect a lot better from Vogue.

Even if they want to focus on her power/business side... that cluttery desk is just a big "no." The outfit is perfect. But, the setting is a zero.

Kind of sad all the pictures from her kid. The kid probably never sees her. At least the kid will have her back in a few months. No one lasts long in that job.

You do? I'm a lefty who voted for Biden/Harris and think she's good at her job, but I wouldn't say I admire her. She's from a wealthy Connecticut family, went to private schools her entire life, and then had a relatively typical climb as a well-connected political hack. I'm not sure "admire" is the right word. Her story is incredibly predictable with very little adversity. Again, she is good at her job and seems like a nice lady. But come on.

The bar is so, so low sometimes.

I used to work with her. The thing I always admired is that she has no enemies. Everyone likes her, or at least respects her. That is incredibly hard to pull off in politics.

Wow, she really cannot relax AT ALL. That is one lame-ass photo.

I know two people who know her. One says she was so fun in college and the other knows her feom the Obama White House and said she’s a total B.

Sorry, but no. She is incredibly well connected, and especially with regards to the Obama White House, you just don't say negative things about the well-connected people. Because they might because WH Press Sec in the next administration. That doesn't reflect how people feel about her, it reflects that she has been successfully in her career at climbing the ladder. That's different than liking or respecting someone.

I have heard she's nice and easy to work with. Not glowing praise, not criticism. She's middle of the road, which probably serves her very well. But it doesn't actually say much about her as a person.

I find it hard to believe you would make this comment about a male press secretary.

So what? There are plenty of well connected hacks who end up total unsuccessful a-holes. Just look at trumps and his sorry adult children. You don’t have to face adversity to have a strong work ethic or ambition. Yes, it was easier for her to get here, but she could still be an admirable person with admirable values, traits, or achievements. Just look at someone like RFK.
