Sorry, but no. She is incredibly well connected, and especially with regards to the Obama White House, you just don't say negative things about the well-connected people. Because they might because WH Press Sec in the next administration. That doesn't reflect how people feel about her, it reflects that she has been successfully in her career at climbing the ladder. That's different than liking or respecting someone.

I have heard she's nice and easy to work with. Not glowing praise, not criticism. She's middle of the road, which probably serves her very well. But it doesn't actually say much about her as a person.

I don’t know her, but having worked in a similar position, I can co-sign this. If everyone really loves her, she’s not doing her job.

You do? I'm a lefty who voted for Biden/Harris and think she's good at her job, but I wouldn't say I admire her. She's from a wealthy Connecticut family, went to private schools her entire life, and then had a relatively typical climb as a well-connected political hack. I'm not sure "admire" is the right word. Her story is incredibly predictable with very little adversity. Again, she is good at her job and seems like a nice lady. But come on.

The bar is so, so low sometimes.

So what? There are plenty of well connected hacks who end up total unsuccessful a-holes. Just look at trumps and his sorry adult children. You don’t have to face adversity to have a strong work ethic or ambition. Yes, it was easier for her to get here, but she could still be an admirable person with admirable values, traits, or achievements. Just look at someone like RFK.

Agree. She is doing a great job. Since the beginning, she changed the “tone” of her office in a good way: there is a renewed sense of respect and decency that was missing.

Not to mention honesty!

LOL.

Oh, wait…you’re serious?

Yet, you clicked on the thread. Weird.

NP

"likes her, or at least respects her" is not at all the same things as "loves her"

I am sure she has better things to do than read here so really who cares, but I can't help myself. This is such a low blow. You have no idea what kind of mom she is and would never say this about a man in a similar position.

As people climb the ladder, they should cultivate a group of people around them who can (and do) say no, or bad idea, or you're paying attention to the wrong thing here, etc. I think most people don't do this.

I’m sure the kid is very attached to her nanny.

+1 and incidentally, when she took the job she said she'd only do it for a year or so.

She went to public high school and William & Mary -- which, last I checked, is a state school.

I read the thread title as Jen Psaki’s Vague profile. I like my version.

Wait... is that a... BINDER FULL OF TABS???? I seem to remember liberals constantly mocking Kayleigh McEnany's binder, and yet here is Jen Psaki's with an identical one. How very interesting.

Nobody mocked her binder. They mocked the fact that it was a prop.
