Jen Psaki's Vogue Profile

What a farce.

Why would anyone respect a president's press secretary. Pure propagandists.

Do press secretaries actually do anything? They never answer the question and just deflect; both parties. Any idiot could go up there and not answer at the press conference.

I think some of the Liebowitz photos in the article are interesting in the article. I think Psaki is a competent press secretary, but I don't understand the adoration some people pour on her. She often comes across as pretty condescending to my ears.

It seems like an easy job honestly (regardless of who’s in power).

You do? I'm a lefty who voted for Biden/Harris and think she's good at her job, but I wouldn't say I admire her. She's from a wealthy Connecticut family, went to private schools her entire life, and then had a relatively typical climb as a well-connected political hack. I'm not sure "admire" is the right word. Her story is incredibly predictable with very little adversity. Again, she is good at her job and seems like a nice lady. But come on.

The bar is so, so low sometimes.

She went to public high school and William & Mary -- which, last I checked, is a state school.

Out of state for her, but it was the 90s so not as a huge of an issue tuition wise.

Her father fired for bankruptcy when she was in seventh grade.

William & Mary is a public university.

Filing for bankruptcy is fairly common for real estate developers

So what? There are plenty of well connected hacks who end up total unsuccessful a-holes. Just look at trumps and his sorry adult children. You don’t have to face adversity to have a strong work ethic or ambition. Yes, it was easier for her to get here, but she could still be an admirable person with admirable values, traits, or achievements. Just look at someone like RFK.

Agree. She is doing a great job. Since the beginning, she changed the “tone” of her office in a good way: there is a renewed sense of respect and decency that was missing.

Not to mention honesty!

OK Vlad!

It’s very orange. More like Carrot Top than Bozo.

She’s kinda hot. She has a certain je ne sais quoi. I think she would intimidate a lot of guys in the bedroom. And that’s ok with me 👌🏼

Haha have you seen the trump cult? They’d sit in his club all day with him if they could.

Even if they want to focus on her power/business side... that cluttery desk is just a big "no." The outfit is perfect. But, the setting is a zero.

The angle is strange too.

Yeah, why is she so tense?

I knew her in college- she was very cool and it’s great to see where she has gone in her life. Good for her.

I agree it seems like the vogue photography has gone downhill. It used to be all their photos were “wow.” Now they look like they could be photos from Time or Newsweek. I thought the same about Jill Biden’s profile. I’m sad for both of them — I bet they were psyched to get one of those awesome vogue photos shoots! Instead they got “yeah, that’s a oretty decent picture of me. I guess you can use it at my funeral when I die” level photography. (Note to self—start a binder of photos my kids can use at my funeral so they don’t pick the awful ones where my eyes look different sizes).
