Word on the street is most of the older GA players (U16+) will be jumping ship.

That’s BS. The club plans to roster 28 kids per team. Players not playing will be offered lower boys team levels. Same for girls teams. This is how they get their revenue here and build the club. Word is they are looking for some new coaches.

Best of luck with 28

They have to make room for all the GFR girls following Gus.

How many GFR girls are coming? Are they even good?

3 new players were added from GFR on our GA team. Don’t know how good they are because no games yet.

Which age group?

I'm not the one who commented but I believe there were 3 09's from GFR were added to our team playmetrics and I heard 4 2011's have been going to their practices, not sure if they're on rosters yet. I did see them with blue GFR backpacks at the facility though last night.

I think at least 4 or 5 @ 2011's. How does that work?

There are definitely more 09s and 2011s (and even 2010s) who have had 'discussions' about following GD to Revolution. Specifically re: 09s and 11s, I know there are a handful that are still considering it but are torn because they also have friends (or in some cases, carpools) at GFR. How that works out, though, remains to be seen but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least a few more make the move.

I think you are correct. Maybe they improve the current 11’s team and 10’s team? I know that GFR can still play the Spring season in the RL so maybe they are just doing a few games/tournaments with VRSC to get a feel.

3 09's fully left GFR. The 10's at GFR that are any good play up to the 09's but were not huge GD fans so I doubt they leave for VRSC. I'm not familiar with the 11's at GFR as much but like any of GD's teams, there will be a few that love him and follow and the rest will be thrilled he's gone.

Well your doubt is wrong b/c VRSC 10’s also have three new players on the roster

Those age groups already have crowded rosters if you include Aspire players that have been training with them. Is there enough space for all? Let’s ask CC maybe he will chime in soon.

Sissy doesn’t care. His plan is to offer some to move down to aspire as soon as they realize he’s not playing them. Usually they quit at that time.

Maybe they’re just practicing for the Spring?

Nope. There aren’t many league games. These players are here to take your dd’s spot during the tournaments and champions league events. Rosters will grow to 25-26 players within a few weeks. If you are a marginal 2011, start to consider your options.

Well they must be pretty good or better than the starters? I’m not opposed to competition and like seeing a roster get stronger. It’s not just GFR girls showing up either… SYC???

Absolutely! They keep adding players that are mediocre or even just horrible from Great Falls simply to get the extra money. It’s painfully obvious these players can’t compete in important games but they play them anyway. The CC results were dreadful. I expect to see mass defections come fall.

The real issue is not the players. It’s the coaching. Several of the coaches were removed due to so many complaints but they left the biggest problem coach in place. Mind blowing.

So all GFR players are garbage that are coming over? What games have they even had for you to ascertain they’re mediocre and horrible? These are kids right?

CC has literally never allowed an Aspire player to play in a GA game.

Fortunately, not true. I agree that it might not be common, but I saw at least two girls with Aspire patches playing with one of the younger age groups at the event in California a couple of months ago.

No, he currently has the 2011s and 2013s

Those aren't CC's teams.

To be fair, the GFR 09, 2010 and 2011 teams were pretty strong (09 and 2011, in particular). Yes, they played in RL but some of those players are definitely better than RL and would absolutely displace Aspire players at Rev and probably even some of the current GA team players. Talent/skill level aside, it also doesn't hurt if GD likes you...and he definitely has his favorites on all of those teams.

In reality, there are a lot of Aspire players that need to be replaced or repurposed on the Black teams. Given the historical lack of depth at VRSC, as the girls get older, the Aspire level is a mix of girls who work their butts off because they want to earn the right to move up to GA and those who have no intention of playing past high school, if that, and it shows. The net result is teams where the gap between the top 5 and the bottom 5 is huge. So, if GFR has some girls who are talented and who, more importantly, are committed to improving, then bring 'em!

This is actually the second wave of great falls girls coming into the club. Last year there was a wave of fvu and gf girls that migrated to rev. The poster is maybe referring to the girls who came previously. Most of them weren’t bad but also weren’t playing at the level of the existing team.
