To be fair, the GFR 09, 2010 and 2011 teams were pretty strong (09 and 2011, in particular). Yes, they played in RL but some of those players are definitely better than RL and would absolutely displace Aspire players at Rev and probably even some of the current GA team players. Talent/skill level aside, it also doesn't hurt if GD likes you...and he definitely has his favorites on all of those teams.

In reality, there are a lot of Aspire players that need to be replaced or repurposed on the Black teams. Given the historical lack of depth at VRSC, as the girls get older, the Aspire level is a mix of girls who work their butts off because they want to earn the right to move up to GA and those who have no intention of playing past high school, if that, and it shows. The net result is teams where the gap between the top 5 and the bottom 5 is huge. So, if GFR has some girls who are talented and who, more importantly, are committed to improving, then bring 'em!

There aren’t any girls on the top teams who aren’t committed to improving. The difference come with if they are aggressive or not. The aggressive girls work in the local league games but fail to keep up when it comes to playing a good national team that pass the ball right past the players. Usually you see jaws dropping to the ground because they can’t figure out what just happened. There’s a huge drop off as you move down to Aspire and lower level teams. Playing truly elite teams requires being both aggressive and skillful. A team like VDA scores 5-6 goals easily against any VRSC team even with the substitutions.

Absolutely! They keep adding players that are mediocre or even just horrible from Great Falls simply to get the extra money. It’s painfully obvious these players can’t compete in important games but they play them anyway. The CC results were dreadful. I expect to see mass defections come fall.

CC only coaches 09 and 08s. He can be partially blamed for other age groups maybe?

But as forn09s, 1st place in division equals dreadful? Losing to #3 team in USA by 2 goals is dreadful? Losing its only GK half way through the game and out for last game in Cali. I give you the other two games but those were still top 100 teams and pretty much a toss up. To compare, FVU is #115, NVA is #395 and GFR is #252. A three goal difference is the golden standard for an off balance game, even in EPL. You would have to go back to early August to find a loss of 3 goals or more…TO THE VDA 2008s.

Most of you have never seen your kids play against a top 25 team and really don’t understand the next level is.
Arlington parents aren’t wasting their time here. FVU is not wasting their time here. VDA parents aren’t wasting their time here. NVA 09s and 10s are awful. Loudoun is even worse. GFR has not played a good team in over a year. VDA, Penn Fusion, and SC Del Sol would likely beat all of these mentioned by close to double digits.

So my question is still, what gives you the right to throw stones from your glass houses? Jealousy? Grudge against a coach? Grudge against the club?

By all means, please tell us what high horse you sit on looking down on all of us mere stupid VRSC peasants from! Until you do, you know where you can stick it.

VDA 09s played VRSC 09s last August. Final was 3-1. VDA was missing its USYNT player.

Don’t think this person was coming for the 09’s they’re directing the frustrations towards not talented GFR girls, I think it was directed to the 11’s and 10’s.

CC, you and bucktooth KS had to fire a Salvadoran coach who had been at the club far longer than you and with far better results because your ego couldn’t handle the embarrassment. You’re a joke!

Their heads are very big. It turns out they can’t develop players. They just get the biggest bullies who have no problem elbowing other girls and muscle their way to wining game rather than actually play real soccer. They will be gone soon enough when people figure out they are actually the problem…not the scapegoat coaches. We are moving on to an ECNL club so it doesn’t matter.

There were more than just one usynt player missing in that game. Tell yourself what you will but your team doesn’t come close to the VDA team. BP always holds players back when he plays substantially weaker teams.

And CC plays the bench half the game so…and 3-1 is close enough in IMO. Oh, and didn’t that goal come on the starters in the very beginning of the game? You’re funny though. 16 D1 and at least 7 that played are P4 players to 1 lonely mid major player from VRSC? If your team was that good, the players could have walked to a bigger win. Just because players go D1 doesn’t necessarily mean they are on that level. Just ask VP or quite a few others from FCV.

Oh come on, VRSC 09's have ONE college commit to a pretty low level D1 school. VDA 09's have like 15 to some of the best D1 programs. You can't even compare.

They’ve told you repeatedly. Main reason: $$$$
Where else would he raking in 6 figures with youth soccer? DMV area of the good ol’ USA he so much despises.

Reason two: ego
Reason three: clique type nature of VRSC

They literally have a guy who is a washed up player at Loudoun Utd that will miss the vast majority of the teams’ weekend games due to conflict with his first salary (player)

Question for parents of boys in those teams:

Do you accept the fleecing of $5k before hotels and travel for a chump who ain’t gonna be there?

Rev answer: Gr0wTh and DeVEloPmeNt #OneFamily

I know this is a Girls / GA thread, but what happened to Matio ? Where is MJ going to land ? So many questions but way too much witching about the GA, and how they are going to suck with cast offs or second tier players.
