Most of my social media is just silent about it more than anything

Yeah I was pretty surprised that it was an old man

I’m not deep into this thread yet. Not a chance this was the guy. From that long distance 200 yards it had to be a sniper, clean shot, quick and no one else harmed. Never gonna find her or him.

The New York Yankees honored Charlie Kirk before tonight's game

That was a big mistake. He should have been transported by ambulance. And there should have been an ambulance at an event with 3,000 people.

In a mass group event, there's so much confusion that even if someone knows an ambulance might be on site, sometimes it's quicker to get the car that's immediately out front and rush to hospital.

I'm not going to judge, I wasn't at the scene. My husband, who is a doctor, also worked as a paramedic for group events and it's always hell if something like this happens. Everyone gets in the way.

I did not mean to blame.

I guess I meant seconds counted with that amount of bleeding. An ambulance might have had something to extend his survival.

But if his carotid artery was hit, perhaps it did not matter. 🙁

PP you replied to. We will probably never know. RIP.

Me again. Apparently someone close to Kirk interviewed by WaPo said that there was no ambulance on site.

Far left politicians such as Barack Obama, Gavin Newsome, and JB Pritzker are rightly condemning this and calling it despicable and sickening, without any hesitation or qualification, and certainly without the sarcasm and giggles that the pathetic sicko's on DCUM are expressing.

It wasn’t that guy. Apparently that guy is known to the local police and was arrested for interference.

He is very popular with teenage boys, I would go as far to say that is his main demographic.

My younger teen (14) son hadn't heard of Kirk before today. I'm curious if you ask a teen boy, what about Kirk appealed to them. I'm asking genuinely, I would really like to understand.

He didn’t hate teen boys for their identities. That’s it. I don’t even think a lot of his fans necessarily agreed with his politics. They were just so desperate for some political/media figure that didn’t hate them for who they are.

Oh no. Teen boys absolutely agree with his politics. Mine and their friends are prime examples

How do you know the anonymous people you are castigating are not just right wing trolls?

They are going to have to start doing more open denouncement of certain behaviors.

Same. There's not much to say. It's sad.

I wouldn’t consider those three “far left.”

Some, yes. But he had a lot of teen boy fans that didn’t agree with his politics but just liked him, because he was civil and also didn’t hate teen boys for being teen boys.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but Americans are being trained to hate each other, this isn’t natural.
Of course! This is how they control us.
We've been divided and conquered by the wealthy elites controlling our two major political parties. Wake up folks. Your fellow Americans are NOT your enemies!
Seriously delete social media. They are platforming crazy people and it’s driving everyone insane. Mind you people are getting rich of the division from Ad money.
+1

Not only ad money but more substantially, the hyper-partisan idiots are more likely to give their money to our awful politicians in the name of fighting the evil other "side". Way too many gullible fools out there disguising themselves as Republicans and Democrats.
