Progressives are stuck in a black/white binary and haven’t updated their model to that of today’s multiracial democracy. Instead they’ve shoehorned Asians into the white adjacent category and Latinos into the oppressed category and carried on. Never really cared if Asian Americans and Latinos have their own thoughts and ideas about it. |

And the person who owns the utero matters even more. Because they are a human alive in this world and their lives matter. |
Essentially this case is about Harvard and a handful of other highly selective schools. It’s not going to affect the vast majority of colleges and universities that are not highly selective. The highly selective ones will find a work around. Like making every applicant write an essay about racism in the US and how has it affect their lives. Then you give extra points to those strong candidates who have overcome challenges relating to their racial identity. |
My relative is a college professor and was a high school guidance counselor. He says there is already a plan B for this. |
Yeah, but even the work arounds are pretty hard to defend. For example, it came out in this case that one of the ways they were able to accept less Asians was by routinely scoring them low on personality. Yikes. I mean, wow. |
Barak Obama is not African American. |
I think Barack Obama and all other Black Americans are a bit more concerned about the bad shit that the people who oppose them do to discriminate and disenfranchise and deny opportunities to Blacks than about the people who support them occasionally saying something about them in an awkward manner. |
1. What you are looking at isn't even a news article. It's an Editorial piece. 2. Most people consider the New York Times to be a credible news organization. The fact that you can't tell News from Editorial is because Fox News has rotted your brain. Clearly in court they are arguing that what they portray as News is really Opinion. At least that's their defense when they get sued. I don't agree with the op-ed page of the Wall Street Journal, but they do a mostly good job of reporting, and I can see that. You should be able to do the same with NYT. |
Let’s get after that legacy program. Dismantle it all! |
No, she didn’t. Why do you guys always have to lie to make an argument? |
This is your perception of progressives, which, of course, has nothing to do with reality. But then again, neither did Pizzagate, so... |
Maybe, but what percentage of kids go to college. This could be explained by the bell curve, which is different for boys and girls. Both have about the same average, but girls will have a much higher share close to the average. If the top 20% go to college, it will be disproportionately boys. If the top 40% go to college it will be more boys, but not as lopsided. If the top 50% it is same number of boys and girls. Top 60% it will be lopsided towards girls. The bottom 20% is dominated by boys. |
