[/quote] Maybe, but what percentage of kids go to college. This could be explained by the bell curve, which is different for boys and girls. Both have about the same average, but girls will have a much higher share close to the average. If the top 20% go to college, it will be disproportionately boys. If the top 40% go to college it will be more boys, but not as lopsided. If the top 50% it is same number of boys and girls. Top 60% it will be lopsided towards girls. The bottom 20% is dominated by boys.[/quote]
