Yea it’s my understanding she was extremely supportive of his career through most of the marriage. Tom retired at an unusually late age -a good 5-10 years after most quarterbacks retire. He documents this in the documentary Tom versus Time which is all about how unusual it is for him to be playing that long.

He couldn't even keep his commitment to retire at the agreed-upon time, when he was well past his prime and had already played much longer than expected. It must have been a pretty lonely marriage, normal for two people to grow apart after a long time with this dynamic. I think they want different things out of life, too. She wants to do eco-traveling, spend lots of time with her extended family, and sustain connections with Brazilian culture. Not surprised her current BF is Brazilian. Those things matter more as you age. He's not interested in any of this, wants to hang out in his huge mansion, date models, and watch football. Nothing in common beyond the kids.

He signed a $375M contract with Fox. Sounds like he has plans beyond making connections with "Brazilian culture" whatever that means. Her boyfriend will milk her for all she's worth then move on to the next mark.

One of the issues that lead to Bill having a problem was that because Tom Brady had a lot of influence with the team younger players would also feel pressure to work with Guerrero as well. It’s not some gotcha to say that Brady met him through someone else. That’s actually how most people meet…

I’m not 100% keeping up with this but I think it’s entirely possible and plausible that she was resentful that her husbands number one priority was always his career over his family and her career - well past a typical age for the nfl - and she simply fell in love with someone who was there. I think her boyfriend was the symptom, not the problem. Very possibly they were both responsible in damaging their marriage beyond repair.
