My take on this:
Rich, narcissistic ex supermodel started to feel lonely, unimportant and older after her kids grow up and started to spend less time with her due to their own activities. She asked her husband to retire and spend more time with her especailly after 7th ring. Unfortunately he wanted to reach 45 years old target and still enjoyed his work as he is extremely good at it. In his second year with Bucs, she cheat him with hired help. Tom learned, got angry, did not take his wife's ultimatom and unretired, eventaully they divorced. She immediately flaunted his boy toy right after divorce (who does that after a divorce in another country with his kids present), made his ex husband's last season a living hell (his frenemy AB also punched him on this). She went back to semi nude/transparent shoots and kept having her time with karate kid. So far, just a typical cheating wife, cliche entitled female affair. She must still not be satisfied because she kept talking about ex husband and divorce, while he moved on, never mentioned her again. Later, her cheating leaked and confirmed with Valentine's day video (which she kept denying till she got caught), now she is only in damage control mode. Frankly hardest part must be for her 2 kids, apart from divorced parents, they must deal with a lot of shit and taunting because of her actions/choices.

this is my take. Ultimately they both are the cause for the breakdown of the marriage. Her cheating with the kids teach is just gross on top of it

I think her wanting him to retire is pretty reasonable. He's talked about how hard it was missing important milestones and activities with them. By the time he did retire she had already met the trainer and made her choice. I don't think she used it to cover for her cheating.

She should’ve picked someone who wasn’t a hired caregiver to her kids. This was incredibly damaging. When dads start sleeping with the nanny, it’s similarly traumatizing for the family

She also broke up the relationship between her kids + Tom’s kid with Bridget Moynihan. The two boys are very close in age.

While I know it must be tough being married to an NFL star, he was also off of work for 4-5 months of every year. The Super Bowl is done by mid February and they don’t report back to training camp until mid-July. That’s plenty of time to focus on the family and spouse.

I’m certainly not a fan of Giselle. But most quarterbacks retire between 35 and 40, and Tom went to 45 and there was a whole documentary called Tom versus Time that showed how rare that is, and all he had to do to keep up those extra years. I believe neither of them had any idea he would play football that long, and when you have young kids, 5-7 years is actually a really long time.

So I do feel like that could cause a lot of tension. Is it worth breaking up a marriage? I mean I look at my marriage and I would say no but you never know what else was going on and clearly there were other dynamics at play. Seems like both of them are absolutely insufferable, used to getting their way, and not equipped to compromise.

Bridget and Tom were already broken up when she found about her pregnancy. there was no cheating involved.

Of course there were likely other dynamics at play. I'm sure TB is probably a workaholic and keeps his days busy during the 4-5 months of the off-season. And she's probably insufferable too.

But it's pretty clear that Gisele was sleeping with the help all while her kids were nearby. And then she took the boy toy on vacation with the kids as soon as the divorced was announced, all while knowing she was being watched like a hawk by the paps. That's nuts! WTF was she thinking?

Those kids are really going through it with these two as parents.

Agree. I've always thought she looked like a man. Her androgynous look is gross. Tom fell for that "super model" status nonsense; his ex the actress was far prettier and far more feminine.

Tom's going to end up with someone in their 20s, early 30s and have a couple more kids. His kids with Gisele seem too passive (genetics and/or her parenting style). While his oldest boy with Moynahan is an alpha stud.
