When do we get data on how many teachers are vaccinated?

I suspect much of DC is very, very interested in see how many are vaccinated.

Well the deadline is July 12. So maybe in a couple weeks after DCPS cooks the numbers.

Why and in what way (up or down) do you think they'll be cooked?

If you have so little trust, then why would you even bother posting about any upcoming data?

I wonder if DCPS will publish any data on teacher vaccination rates. My ES kids will still have to wear masks and assume anyone in the building could be a carrier.

40 percent of all adults aren't vaccinated. So expect at least 40 percent of teachers to be unvaccinated.

You have full faith and trust in data that DCPS releases?

Last time I checked, I was in America. Yes, I trust the data. Are you still listening to Q?

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread or if I should start a different one, but how do we think about an appreciable percentage of teachers not being vaccinated? Are they are a safety issue with rates low?

(there was a prior thread about mandatory vaccines in schools that seems to have been deleted; I don't know why)

they need to require adult vaccination and let kids lose the masks.

The public doesn't really need to know the raw numbers, as long as DCPS requires all of its employees to be vaccinated. It's a pretty easy thing for an employee to accomplish: simply present your proof of vaccination, and show up for work.

Sorry to break it to you but DCPS cooks the books all the time. They manipulate data to say what they want all the time. Do you remember those great surveys they were having parents fill out in January/February? You must be new here.

I anticipate DCPS will cite privacy laws and not be able to state a percentage of teachers vaccinated. However, they will release the numbers for the entire DC Government.

As a parent of a student that can't yet be vaxxed, I'm comfortable not knowing the numbers of teachers that are vaccinated if DCPS does in fact make the vax mandatory for teachers and staff -- presumably if we have mandatory vaccination, the percentage would be 100% (or near it).

But, in the likely event that the vax will not be mandatory for DCPS teachers and staff, how does that increase risk for students who are not vaxxed or who are immunocompromised? What percentage of teachers not being vaxxed (40%?) seems like it's a unnecessary risk that teachers should not create for young kids?

I’m a teacher and we aren’t required to submit vaccination data..so I haven’t. Not sure why you’re waiting on data that doesn’t exist.

Well I can tell you they WILL NOT require the vaccine this school year.
