Glennon's Instagram Page is one big Kamala lovefest. I respect anyone's right to run their public facing profiles in a way that represents them best and to vote and promote the candidates of their choice but that is a lot.

Realistically, how many people do we think are on her team? She seems pretentious AF when she mentions them like there's this whole stable of underlings off camera

She may have a virtual assistant from India or the Philippines, and some gal pops up in her sm from time to time. Totally pretentious when people talk about contacting "Amanda" or "a member of my team"- gag. Doesn't Tyler claim to have a team, too?

Sarah Bessey called her a beloved in the LC long goodbye post. These people deserve each other. Who talks like that to their friends?

At least three, duh.

Ashlee, Ashli and Mandi. Maybe there's also a Mandy-with-a Y.

Another began a charity in honor of a family member who died tragically and there was a flurry of 5ks, golf tournaments and even online sales. In both cases, the charities disbanded after a few years.

Ugh, everything is a cash grab and no one is minding the store. Now everyone expects you to pay for any funeral with a GoFundMe.
Heck, I get irked that runners try to "raise money" for certain "charities" in order to race marathons. Can we just go back to paying your own entrance fee, running the race, and being done with it? How much actually goes to the charities themselves? And breast cancer charities are the most poorly managed- Susan Komen, I am looking at you.

TR and LC boards probably had had it with dealing with each other and wanted to do other things with their time, lol.

If you start a new Glennon thread, I'm there for you. I just feel like I have hijacked this thread enough and am too lazy to start a new one

I would also pop in on a Glennon thread if there was one

What are Jen's real options moving forward? She's almost 50 and has beaten the white progressive suburban wine mom girlboss of all the things to death. Besides other women do this much better and are a lot younger. She completely lost her former evangelical audience, which left with a lot of pain and sadness and were never really replaced as progressive fans are not as loyal and are a lot more fickle. She never had an HGTV audience. She already wrote her manifesto which sold bupkis. Her cook book didn't sell either. Her podcasts are bore fests with guests no one cares about. Her charity grift is over, same as Glennon's which is a strange coincidence.

She made a sappy dedication to him in her pinned book publishing post saying she'd remake the recipes to vegetarian so he could eat them which he didn't bother to thumbs up. Jennifer Garner did but Tyler couldn't be bothered even though she constantly tags him in stuff?

He, who I'd never heard of before they started dating, enjoying a big bump in social media following after Jen introduced him as her man, does not interact with her on social media or does so only minimally. He obviously knows how social media works and is active on social media and interacts with fans who show interest in his tee shirts.

I still cringe at the thought of her printing Tyler’s name in her book dedication that early in their relationship. Embarrassing. Can’t be undone. And of all her books, the cookbook has the most long-lasting appeal. Her great-grandkids could have that one on their shelf and make the recipes and laugh at her humor and enjoy ancestor photos. They won’t be sitting around reading “For the Love” … but they will be wondering “who is Tyler?”

Is he mentioned in the actual book? I went back and forth on whether to buy it and landed on no. The idea of the book was actually appealing to me and I listed to her podcast epidosde about food photography, which made me want to like it. But coupled with the schilling of crappy able clothes and CBD gummies, I just can't do it.

Yes she dedicated the actual printed book to him in writing. It was a shocking early dating move and he never acknowledged it publicly.

No some of the recipes in the cook cook are awesome. I made some and love the jammy grilled cheese dish. Delicious. I love hearty, flavor first, Football Saturday/Sunday party food and this book is a love letter to this style of cuisine. Bets thing Jen's every written.

I ordered a copy and glanced through it but ended up returning. I was going to use it as a gift. I typically prefer electronic recipes and don’t own a hard copy cookbook. The artwork was cute and the writing was classic Jen in a good way. The person I thought would like it eats healthier though and it was definitely mostly fun comfort and junk food, but well done. Tyler dedication wasn’t a snark or joke. She really did have him included.

It's kind of sad if you think about it. She met BH in college when she and the world were different. Tyler is a professional single dude. I wonder if his lack of response is because she came out of the gate with this level of extra.

Did her last book (Fierce, Free. . .) and the cookbook truly not sell many copies?

I've followed her from way back in her evangelical days. I was more aligned w her old belief system than not, still am. I liked that someone who didn't look and sound like my grandma wrote a relatable devotional.

I respect changing beliefs and was not bothered by her statement about inclusivity in 2016, although I know that is when she started losing her fanbase. She seems to have slid further and further to the left and become more annyoing since the divorce. I cant relate to her. Age has nothing to do with it but the general lack of purpose and not being able to bring out that sense of "me too" with the pile of followers she has now. I used to really dig into what she had to say. Now I just roll my eyes & come here to see the comments. And that is sad.

Her cookbook didn't do well because who buys cookbooks? Most people get their recipes online and follow chefs or food bloggers because they're food experts. Jen might have had the captive audience for a witty cookbook with gimpses into her life 10 years ago but in 2023, no she doesn't.

Her podcasts are super boring. I scroll through them every couple of months or so and usually don't find one topic where I find myself interested enough to listen. She's a great writer but she alienated the Christian moms and the girl boss wine mom progressives aren't invested in her at least not in very large numbers.

I think she's bright and witty and talented but until she figures out who she is and who her people are, mediocrity is probably the best we're going to see from her
