From your own link re: Ginsburg rule: It is true that Ginsburg in her opening statement before the Senate Judiciary Committee said, as others had before her, that it would be improper for her to give any hints of how she might rule in future cases. Notwithstanding that, she did answer questions, as others have, about what she considered settled law and about her previous writings as a judge and legal scholar. That included her view that the Constitution includes a right of privacy or, as she put it, the right to determine one's own life decisions. Judge Barrett used exactly this standard in deciding what she could and could not answer. She was very forthcoming in discussions of settled law and of her own writings, both as an academic and a judge. However, she appropriately refused to opine on hypotheticals or issues which could possibly come before her as a justice. As is perfectly correct and as every nominee before her has done. https://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases/ginsburg-standard-no-hints-no-forecasts-no-previews-and-no-special-obligations |
+1 The display of stupidity that the Democrats have put on over the past three days was cringeworthy. I enjoyed seeing ACB keep her cool throughout. |
If you want to talk about stupid, i would refer you to all the Republicans comments on her children. Sexist and irrelevant. |
I expect the same from you and your dear leader. |
+1 “Who does the laundry in your house?” Thanks for that real barn burner, Kennedy. As ever, the GOP dinosaurs just want to know how the man of the house is being cared for when the little lady has herself a little Avon job outside the man’s castle. |
Not really. Just the handmaiden who have surrendered their souls to the patriarchy for the crumbs they get tossed. |

Yeah, it’s too bad I have to vote all blue this fall. Anything to get Mitch and Donald out of government. Then 2 and 4 years from now I can start voting red again.
But, yeah good for Barrett. |
Fascist, please. She refused to say Griswold was settled law OR super-precedent. We all know you are not a lawyer, and have a very weak understanding of the legal system, Ted Cruz said yesterday that birth control is "abortion inducing drugs." So, fascist, bleat on.

She’s been amazing. She’ll make an amazing justice. |
Good mornimg poster-who-does-not-know-all-their-adjectives. Life must be hard with such a limited vocabulary. |
| Amy is a fundie judge who is loved by other fundies. What is so surprising about this? We cannot change each others minds and I have had to cut out fundie friends. Move on guys. Packing the court to rebalance is the only way out of this fundie nonsense. |
