So what kind of King will Charles be?

He made a joke. If anything it makes him seem more human and likable because he has a sense of humor. Unlike the people who didn't understand or can't take a joke.

I'm not the PP you responded to but you sound so desperate . If anything his tampon reveals a serious lack of self awareness ( to the surprise of exactly no one ) and decorum. That you think it somehow makes him more likable says less about him and more about ass kissers like you.

His phone was hacked. You sound desperate to cling to a story you don’t even understand. Lighten up.

I wonder if they were snubbed from the role in favor of Camilla’s pack because they snubbed Camilla. Supposedly, Queen Elizabeth detested Camilla. She might be persona non grata within aristocratic circles as well as many in the general public.

I always thought the Queen had much more in common with Camilla than Diana. They were both outdoorsy types and liked horses and hunting.

The Queen would not have made her Queen Consort if she detested Camilla. Camilla will be welcome in any place Charles is.

It was rumored that the Queen approved Camilla’s title in return for settling Andrew’s case.

"It was rumored...". This thread has tanked.

Where on earth would Andrew get the money to settle from? His Swiss chalet was essentially foreclosed on and then a few months later he has the money to pay millions of dollars in a settlement.

That's a superficial connection. You can be outdoorsy on your own or with any superficial acquaintance. And I'm sure the Queen had dozens of people to go riding and hunting with. But that kind of shared-hobby connection is not enough to make up for a total lack of shared values. Like: Putting family and the institution first, or Don't F*** My Married Son You Creep, or marital fidelity, or caring about humanitarian causes.

I'm not saying the Queen and Diana were besties because they weren't. Nor do I argue that Princess Diana was a morally perfect woman because she certainly was not. But I can't think of any reason why a deeply religious woman like the Queen, who stuck by her own imperfect marriage for decades and dedicated her whole life to her personal ideal of Britain, would have any desire to befriend a woman like Camilla Parker-Bowles.

I can think of one: her son was in love with Camilla. Clearly, you have never had to make compromises on behalf of your adult children.

DP. But just because Charles loves Camilla that doesn’t mean that QEII and her would be besties which was PP’s point. Camilla caused Charles and the entire family a lot of grief. Like decades of image rehab. And at the end of the day just because Charles loves Camilla what about marrying someone else would make Elizabeth think that Camilla loved her son?

Charles and Camilla had the tampon conversation in 1989. When both were married to other people and had young kids.

It’s really trashy behavior, Royal or not.

So is Pakistan and Afghanistan.

I have seen the Guardian News article related to the dispute, your comment is most likely based on that. I also have researched this and the diamond in the royal scepter. I was disappointed at the poor quality of reporting, it didn’t do justice to the history of the diamond or the controversy surrounding the stone.
India is not wrong to ask for it back and I agree with them on this
I really do not know your level of ignorance, but if you would know your subject matter better you most likely would agree too

My point is, more than one country wants it. Who decides especially when the country hat has it claims it was a gift? Stop being insulting.

Please read some more history
It was a war loot, never a gift
Before that it was legally owned by India

The winning side of a war pretty much gets want they want. The winning side gave it to Queen Victoria.

Even if it was stolen that was eons ago. If we were doing to give back all the things stolen in war there would be no end to it.

It was controversial even during the time of Queen Victoria and Brits questioned it then
Why so defensive? What is there so special about stolen goods?
Nazi loot has been returned, what about the rest?

That’s laughable that you think they were “besties”. The Queen had other women she was much closer to than Camilla.

So, people with kids aren't allowed to make jokes? I'm sure you would never make any kind of joke you sound utterly devoid of humor. One can only imagine what you say in your private conversations. You better hope they never see the light of day.

My undemanding is that Charles was telling Camilla how much he wished he was her tampon because he'd be pummeling her old a s s all day everyday. He had one of the most beautiful women as his wife and he was flirting in a trashy way with another trash

Love is love, right? And your understanding of what he said is not correct and ridiculous. Diana has been dead 25 years, it's way past time to move on. This is what he said:

Charles told Camilla he wished he could live in her "trousers," so as to be close to her at all times. She retorted that the prince could be reincarnated as "a pair of knickers," to which he joked that, knowing his "luck," he'd end up as a tampon instead.

It's a joke and you're bent out of shape out of something you clearly didn't understand or know the background of.

No, he said he wanted to be inside her pants but with his luck he’d probably die and come back her tampon.

Why would an American participate in a coronation?

Camilla’s kids didn’t just bag $100M by selling family secrets (of which they surely know many) to the highest bidders.

They were still married to their respective spouses when this conversation took place.

They're trash. You're trash for agreeing with it even if it happened 2 decades ago.
