Looks like a new Gaza war has started

I see the pro-Israel folks have gone full Mega MAGA. Does MAGA appreciate how Papa Biden is going all out for their cause? Don't forget to vote BLUE in 2024.

What Jewish person in their right mind would vote for democrats right now?

It's easy to chant "Free Gaza" and "Deescalate" when you do so from the comfort of the US where your life is not in danger by protesting/expressing your views. Do they even understand that "freeing Gaza" would result in thousands of Hamas terrorists free to brutally murder even more Jews?

I am guessing that not one of these teens/twenty-somethings (they were predominantly young) had any family that were brutally murdered by Hamas.

Glad they are all for peace. But, I don't think they truly understand the threat that Israel is facing.

Agreed. There will need to be a political solution eventually, but don't forget there was a 'cease-fire'. Until October 7. How'd that go.

I apologize for not reading the 647 pages that led up to here.

It appears from the evidence available that:
(1) the hospital was not a target;
(2) the hospital was not hit;
(3) no hospital workers died;
(4) the missile came from west (not east) of the hospital
(5) the missile was not a bomb from the IDF

I don't want anyone injured but I do wish that the people could get accurate information since sadly it appears that the PIJ murdered their own people. It is all so heartbreaking.

Sadly, an objective story from NPR is not going to convince the anti-Israel posters here. They will just double down on what has become the BIG LIE and find some way to discount the evidence that we all can see.
Amazing that these people will believe a terrorist group with ZERO evidence. It speaks volumes.

Israel is lost . Most Gen Z in the West have Muslim friends who were born and grew up here since their parents had to you know emigrate.

How stupid can one country be to not realize the tides were always shifting to Palestinian sympathy even during the last Gaza war in 2014? Remember the flotilla and divest from Israel campaigns ?

They should’ve seen the left’s pro Palestinian slant burgeoning years and years ago

Man, you are profoundly out of touch.

I’m not profoundly out of touch. I’m profoundly anxious.

This situation is getting scarier and scarier by the minute and is a powder keg.

Putin would love nothing more than to see the West divide over Israel vs Palestine and that’s what is likely to happen since both our president and Israel’s keep making dumb decisions that are helping Putin and Hamas

Okay, you can at least calm down about BLM-style protests. Apart from a few protests in places like Michigan and a few isolated college campuses that look increasingly out-of-touch and ivory tower, nobody is going to the streets for a hospital attack that turns out to have been both from the Palestinians themselves and greatly exaggerated.

Moderation as a whole is winning across the whole country. People are sick of stupid theatrics from both the left and right wing. Biden is doing better than Trump in the polls because people perceive him as more moderate even if he’s massively bungled some issues.

BLM was a collective outpouring of grief over American racism that was shared broadly, by moderates and even some conservatives, let alone leftists. This is nothing like that. To the extent Americans have sympathy for what is going on, most sympathies lie with the people who just had a bunch of their children executed by terrorists. They aren’t going to be rioting over terrorists who accidentally attacked their own hospital, apart from some isolated incidents that will not have broad support.

Take a breath.

Give me a break. There are plenty of pro-Israel and pro-Jewish democrats. Don’t eat up the ridiculous propaganda the far right are putting out. It really can suck you in. Biden just pledged his support to Israel. Trump criticized some in the Isaraeli government. So there you go. Right now, even though there are some antisemitic democrats, the Democratic Party is overall better for our country. Look what the republicans did to our Supreme Court. They are all about inculcating “Christian” values into our society. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a political party shoving their conservative Christian values down my throat. I want women to be free to have abortions and I want people educated about Black history and to learn tolerance of others who are different from them. I don’t agree with the far left, but overall the democrats are good.

The pro-Palestine propagandists certainly were trying to start WWIII... using lies about the hospital to try and instigate violent rioting at the embassies of countries supporting Israel in the hopes of another Benghazi.

Disgraceful.

It's sad to think I once had some sympathies for Palestine. With this Hamas BS, it's hard to keep that sympathy up.

If Hamas drags the West into war, and Palestinians try to play both sides, it will be very difficult for me to have any sympathy for Palestinians ever again.

^ Adding on, I am fed up with bit dramatic acts of terrorism. I have had more than my fill in a lifetime. I am tired of war. I am completely burned out. There is no more that can be done to shock and appall me. It's all been done. The rubber hits the road with terrorism and hostage taking for me. You've burned me out. I've had my fill. I can't hear what you have to say or relate at that point. Choose to seek political solutions, or choose Hamas and terror. That is a road to nowhere though. And know that any double dealing and playing both sides is painfully obvious.

You're tired of war? I can't think of a span of 20, 30, 50 years with less war in the US. We haven't had a draft in since 1973. The last war that we were involved a war with significant numbers of deaths was Vietnam. Not even 20 years prior to Vietnam (58k dead) with had Korea (36k dead) 5 years prior to Korea we had WWI (400k us dead) 20 years before that we had WWI (115k us dead). Both Iraq wars plus Afghanistan are less than 10k US Kia. This is the least was the US has experienced arguably ever

Really? My spouse has been in a lot of combat since 9/11. Yes, I'm tired of war. I'm more tired of the terrorism that necessitates war. Yes, it must be answered, but if anyone in any way supports terrorism, I am done with them. It is the bane of the world. Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hezbollah, Taliban, weird European terrorist groups in the 70s, Weather Underground, PLO, Isis, Muslim Brotherhood, fringe extremist groups hiding in the jungles of the Philippines, Hamas. You all suck and everyone who hides behind you does too.

Few Americans, but hundreds of thousands of people from other countries. Iraq had more than 100k deceased as a result of the fake weapons of mass destruction narrative.

Iraq should have allowed inspectors in as per the terms of their surrender. Our analysts should have realized that they were posturing for Iran. Intelligence fail. It happens.

I really hope that is not the case. Anyway, my point is, I am both appalled and horrified by Oct 7 and also burned out by terrorism. I've just seen too much. Whatever 'effect' terrorists are trying to achieve, the world will grind them out. They can take one hostage or a 1,000, and that is the effect. I would shoot them all into space if I could.

The nice thing about a professional army is that your spouse made the choice to fight. This isn’t like prior wars where a bad draft number meant you were cannon fodder

Most Americans are behind Israel.

And it’s funny — don’t you think Gen Z kids also know Jews? There are twice as many Jews as Muslims in the USA.

Are you sure about that? It seems like there are many more Muslims than Jews in this country.

I'm also over "Days of Rage" supporting Hamas. Meanwhile, Jewish American are in the US Capitol offering themselves up for arrest calling for cease fire. I may not agree with them, but if that isn't a contrast I'm not sure what is.
