| How did it go? |

My child was in a cohort of ~ 8 students. I assume families did not get paperwork in?
Of the cohort - 2 of 8 did not have in person instruction |
| My kid was 1/16. |
|
Fine. One of 9 kids in the cohort. Wifi a little slower than home.
Parent are still frustrated that this is what the school is offering, but kid seems to be rolling with it. |
| My kid was one of 10 in the room, of which 6 or 7 had instruction with the teacher in the room. The other 3 or 4 had classes on their laptops |
|
My kid was happy to be there, although she was hesitant beforehand because she found out that she wouldn't actually have any live classes taught. She came home elated though so I'm glad she took the spot.
Her teacher (in the room) is a super nice person and a good teacher. I'm concerned about how she feels about monitoring kids for 2 classes while the kids are taking virtual classes and she's teaching different virtual classes. She hasn't said anything and is always positive, but I have to imagine this teaching environment would be difficult and demoralizing. Deal was very sneaky in hiding the fact that our kid wouldn't take any actual live classes at school. I sure hope they didn't hide this from the teachers too. |

My kid is one of 10 doing IPL for Algebra II and thrilled to have live instruction and be able to work with small groups in-person. Child said it was the best hour of school all school year.
They did say it was frustrating that their other teacher for the virtual period kept complaining while teaching about having to wear a mask which seems really inappropriate. |
| My kid had virtual teaching so was bascially just on her laptop at Deal. At least - my kids at Wilson have their teachers with them. But, her primary teacher is older so maybe that is why as it sounds like others had live. She still said it was better - nice to be back in the building - she has missed it! |
They underplayed that around 20% of the students would be in the building but have all of their classes virtual. |
Underplayed? How about entirely neglected to mention lol |
Wait a minute. So 80% of the kids in the building get an actual live class taught by the teacher in the room? |
This. |
“Live” while the teacher is on the computer with other kids too. And only once a week. |
80% of the kids in the building get 1 of 2 classes they are in the building for taught simulcast - in a classroom where some of the other students in the classroom are in a different class. |
| What’s your definition of simulcast? |
