I mean... you all realize these aren't real people, right? The plan was to kill him off. Carrie could have called 911 and done CPR until the cows came home and the man would still be dead, because the writers wanted him dead. He could have stepped into an empty elevator shaft instead but the heart attack would provide a bit more drama. It's a TV show, not a PSA. |
Huh. I did not know my husband posted on this site. |
Natasha was perfect on paper but cool whereas Carrie and Big had heat. Heat usually wins. |
The Vulture writer is interviewing a cardiologist. And Vulture is New York Magazine. |
I'm supposed to be impressed by that? |
I am kind of hoping there is a secret Big baby somewhere. Maybe with Natasha? |
Are people really arguing about 911 and CPR? This isn't reality. Have you guys never seen a TV show or movie before? |
Exhibit A: Prince Charles preferred Camilla over Diana |
If Big were a real person, he wouldn't want you to exert yourself for a 10% chance of saving his life. |
You people are nuts! It’s wasn’t an off chance of saving his life— it was a sure thing! Considering he was alive when she got there and they live less than 10 minutes from a world class hospital, a 911 call would have certainly saved his life. Any EMT on site could have stabilized him. It’s crazy that people are clinging so hard to the idea that a fictional character has some redeeming values that they’re willing to ignore the obvious. Calling 911 saves lives. In 2021 a heart attack is not a death sentence—especially when your penthouse is less than 10 minutes from a hospital. |
A lot of fans are impressed that Carrie chose to let Big die instead of calling 911. It’s definitely more romantic to be so in love you lose yourself in each other’s eyes instead of having a bunch of people traipsing through your perfect apartment and rushing to the hospital. I’m not impressed either |
