LOL. I’m sure his kid is touched by you maligning him, Rethug apologist. |
In what way have I maligned him?
Better yet, what did I say that wasn't 100% factual? |
And he doesn't really have any "kid" kids, all his children are grown. Two more are on the way but I doubt they care what DCUM says. |
In the meantime:

Lol funny true yet sad |
Who cares? Would blood money make it up to you if that happened to your father? I don’t expect the family to make waves - they’d just end up dead, too - but what good is a check? |
There are fascinating articles about his alignment with Turkey model (Erdogan) and Islamic brotherhood, and how that differs from monarchical Islamic states like SA. It would be great if people knew a little more about what they are investing emotion in. It goes without saying that consulates should be protected spaces and what happened is a travesty, but while he was residing and opining in the US I would not say his core values or aspirations were aligned to much of our foreign policy. |

It's an opinion piece, but the analysis of republican and monarchical Islam (and where Mr. Kashoggi positioned himself) is a must-read. |
First of all, let's dispense with the notion that any one of us knows what Jamal Khashoggi's "core values of aspirations" were. Second of all, if you're making an argument that the U.S. ought to support monarchical Islam (because these states toe the foreign policy line the U.S. charts) and disdain political Islamist parties that rose to power through popular vote (because they can god forbid have a mind of their own and oppose what the U.S. does), you aren't being very close to the U.S. core values, either. Or should I say, "core values." Because the U.S., despite paying lip service to democracy, has only been OK with brown people voting for as long as they vote for the right person. Chew on that for a bit. |
Saudi Arabia is reportedly "upset" that the world "rushed to judgement " about Khashoggi
So, was "the world" wrong? Wasn't he killed INSIDE a Saudi government building, and then the body removed surrepticiously, with the knowledgeof Saudi officials? Is it really a rush to judgment ? Or just inconvenient statement of facts? |
Don't know why we allow these medieval kingdoms to participate in modern international relations as a real country |
The opinion piece, which seemed reasoned and informative, drew a position on his stance favouring "republican Islam" from his words and history of action. Did you read the article? I do not think monarchical Islam is aligned with American values though it is with some of our regional interests (for now). That's part of what makes our foreign policy in the middle East and gulf fraught and difficult. We are truly caught between a rock and a hard place - but kashoggi didn't offer some 3rd, alternative. He was very much part and product of the republican Islamic stance according to this piece - ie, the Turkish model of government under Erdogan that has also rolled back many freedoms and gains . Why do you think he was in Turkey, just from curiousity? |
A24 Washing Post. Call out with photo full page of MSB.
"Demand the Truth" |
Call us hysterical too at the meeting. They have no respect for US or international values. They being MSB and his government. |
First, exactly what "republican Islam" is, no one knows. Each country invents that anew. Turkey does not have the republican Islam form of government; it is very staunchly secular. If it was even remotely Islamic, Mr Khashoggi would have never had to go into the Saudi consulate - he could have married his lady love officially (not just in a mosque like he did) right then and there without having to prove he's single (again!). As it is, the secular Turkey bans plural marriage and that is why he had to get proof of divorce. Why was he in Turkey? His girlfriend is Turkish, the wedding was supposed to be in Turkey, his family is from Turkey. That's why. "We are truly caught between a rock and a hard place"?? What? YOU are not caught between anything. How other countries choose to govern themselves isn't up to you. You know who is caught between a rock and a hard place? The people of KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait and UAE who want to vote and govern themselves - but can't, because the families that rule their countries suppress them with AMERICAN WEAPONS AND AMERICAN SUPPORT! Can't have these stupid Arabs vote and choose for themselves, can we. Who knows whom they will vote for. Much better we support Al-Saud and Al-Khalifa because they do what we want. Who cares about the people. |
