What if Biden does not bow out?

I hope the average voter is as high-minded. It's now the fist pumping guy who got shot, up against the gramps who stumbles climbing up the podium. Instead of joining hands with a moderate Republican to show your sincerity about keeping the country together, it's all-or-nothing; so Democratic Party, I hope you're right, otherwise you just lost the election. Which reminds me I better check if my passport is up-to-date.

Thank you Fox News, MSNBC, and all the idiot Trump and Biden supporters for your divisiveness. It's a great look for America. Really, thanks.

I disagree with this approach. Fear because of Biden’s condition is what caused this assassination attempt. He needs to step down immediately so a viable candidate can step in.

Nonsense. You have absolutely zero evidence to suggest "Biden's condition" caused this assassination attempt.

Obviously. But also obvious, the calls for Biden to step down, and the rising numbers for Trump in the polls has increased feelings of desperation by non-Trump supporters. This is just common sense.

The calls for Biden to step down are all coming from THE PRESS.

The voters do not want Biden to step down. His support remains steady after the debate (which was a fiasco, but I don't care because he's coherent and smart, compared with that bozo GOP candidate who spews invective and lies but can't string two coherent sentences together).

Rally around Biden, Democrats and DEFEAT the criminal DUMPUS!!!!

The voters/Americans overwhelmingly think Biden is too old

Biden literally called for Trump to be in the bullseye five days ago.

He is toast.

Dems need someone else.

That's a lie.

It’s widely reported tonight. Wake up.

Can't find anything to substantiate it anywhere.

Meanwhile, it's being reported that the rooftop shooter had an upside-down American flag as a patch, similar to how Alito flew one outside of his house. That's far more a hallmark of the far right than it is of the far left. For all we know he was a far-right extremist who was unhappy with Trump. Maybe someone angry he was distancing himself from their Project 2025?

Also, shooter used an AR-type rifle, favorite of the far right.

Where did you hear this? I have heard nothing about the shooter.

The shooter looked like your sons. Insane leftists.

A supporter was shot in the head and one supporter is in critical care.

Trump has dementia, and is 2 cheeseburgers away from a cardiac arrest.

My dad is 70 and I can't imagine him being as spry as Trump in that situation. Great reflexes.

Rebuking, ridiculing, ostracizing, and dehumanizing (MAGA, Russian bot, destroying democracy, etc) anyone who'd raise factually-based criticism or concerns. Refusing to address the problem when it became unavoidable. Allowing the party to self-destruct rather than taking easy steps to avoid the issue in the first place.

Imagine if they had tried applying similar principles to something important. Like social justice, or war, or whatever. I guess it's a good think they haven't.

Why would America want democrats in charge of anything? They don’t care 1% about America.

Gun violence and environment / global warming are high concerns of mine that the Republicans won’t do anything about. Add to that denying Merrick Garland a hearing to become a justice / saying Obama didn’t get to nominate a justice and January 6th and concerns about democracy under the modern day Republican Party and I have concerns. I wish neither Trump nor Biden were the nominees but I will vote for Biden if those are my only choices.

Pp here - also I disagree with the racist rhetoric that comes from the extreme right and the economy has been performing well. I don’t like what’s happening in Gaza but can’t imagine that being handled better under Trump.
