I don't love that it's from Fox news but no way in hell that's a college student. A-hole paid protestors doing nothing but stirring up division.

Why couldn't that be a college student?

He looks to be a 45 year old fentanyl addict?

Well, I certainly can't determine his age, nor that he's an addict based on what little I see of him (his eyes, nose, and belly.)

But 45 year old addicts can also be college students.

At Columbia?

I mean, the number has to be vanishingly small.

I'd wager a significant amount that he's not a student.

I didn't realize that pic was from Columbia, but still--I don't think we can determine from that pic that the person is 45 or a drug addict.

Well, I was being a bit facetious with the drug addict part.

But look at the face. Sure looks MUCH older to me.

Columbia protesters themselves have been claiming that outside agitators are responsible for much of the bad behavior reported in the media, so this fits.

We've also seen quite a few non-students being arrested on campuses across the country. Seems plausible that the same is happening at Columbia.

And the women are all short and fat. No wonder the men don’t let them show their faces.

Do you really want to start critiquing physical features?

The protesters brought it on themselves with their shameless attention seeking behavior, so criticizing them is fair game.

No, it is not. If you want to discuss the reasons they are protesting, that would be appropriate. To discuss their physical appearance in a negative way is immature and rude. It means you don't have anything intelligent to say and are, basically, a jerk.

Where do you see his face? I see one eye and a nose.
And yeah there have been non-students arrested on campuses---including FACULTY.

The nose of a 60 year old Scottish gamekeeper with a drinking habit.

Why is this so important to you? If anything, the involvement of outsiders validates/excuses the student protesters' claims of outside involvement.

I'm confused and amused.

So in the last few minutes, he's aged by 15 years and traded in fentanyl for alcohol.

Take your pick. There's a wide range of possibilities, none of which involve being a 19YO Columbia student.

Very moving.

And if you dont know who Hind is you’ve been avoidinng the truth in Gaza.

At what point do these college students need to take some responsibility for the divisive people protesting alongside them?

On both the right and the left, this is a problem. And both sides are afraid to call out their more extreme members and prefer to just pretend that they aren't responsible.

Independent of the actions of these students, talks are continuing about a cease fire and release of additional hostages.

There are many names that the hall could be renamed, both Palestinian and Israeli, including the living hostages.

Yes they did! Just like the Palestinians brought it on themselves. Look what happened to South Africa and Ireland when those people were allowed a little self rule.

While I agree that extremism is a problem on both the right and left, only one side is rioting across college campuses and physically threatening other groups of students.

Anybody can try to rename anything, but it doesn't make it true.

Anonymous wrote:Folks need to keep in mind that the protestors are an incredibly small percentage of students.

I hate that these schools are getting painted with broad brushstrokes by a hyperventilating media desperate for content. At UCLA it was literally like 200 protestors - some of whom don't even attend the school - out of a student body of 30,000.

Insane that these clowns are getting so much attention, but the media LOVES this type of content that sucks all the oxygen out of the room.

Schools are allowing this. Why are 5% of students plus unauthorized non students allowed to hijack campuses?
