| I know that this year was especially difficult to get admitted into MIT. Did any DMV kids get in? |
MY dc was rejected. He was certainly qualified but did not expect to win the lottery this year. His classmate, a URM and great kid, got in. Colleague's daughter was waitlisted - don't know much about either of them. |
| Nope Nobody! |
| Why are all these people calling this area the DMV. Do you know what that means? |
District Maryland Virginia...very commonly called DMV |
| Are decisions out? |
|
Not my DC either. DC was deferred from EA.
Here are some rough stats for the MIT pool... EA - 15K apps, 10K deferred, 720-ish accepted, RD - 18K RD apps + 10K Deferrals, 620-ish accepted It is a tough year for sure. |
LOL. Wut? |
Please enlighten us. |
| Of course there are, just very few this year. |
| Can anyone actually answer if regular decision is out? I don’t think so. |
RD was yesterday. Pi Day 3/14 |
Only by transplants and not natives. |
Or by natives who moved away, then came back and succumbed to peer pressure. It's inevitable, and so darn convenient.* Just wait til your DC goes oos for college and NOVA changes from being a community college to the geographic descriptor for their home town area. *Dont get me started on how weird it was for a NOVA kid to have to go to the Secretary of State's office to conduct their DMV business in the midwest |
| I know a kid that got in early. Excellent student, mostly athletic extracurriculars. |
