I have a new indulgence, and it's ridiculous and I love it

I'm from New York. I've tried all the bagels here, and they all suck. Goldbelly sells 24 for $60 that are from Essa Bagel. I ordered two dozen in December. Right now I have three bagels left, and my plan is to eat out as much of my freezer as possible to create more space, and then order another two dozen.

Good for you! I ordered ridiculously expensive tamales as my Christmas present to myself.
We’ve been getting izse’s bagels delivered this year—they seem about the best for around here. Or maybe Goldberg’s.

This thread is going to devolve into an argument about why [my favorite bagel] is immeasurably better than [your favorite bagel], but before it does... I’d just like to say I totally endorse your indulgence. CARBS 4 LYFE!

Given how this forum has so many people with disordered eating habits, I imagine there will be a lot of "OMG DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD BAGELS ARE?" "wow you must be fat OP" "I can't imagine eating that many bagels" etc etc etc.

Glad you found something yummy. Does a great frozen bagel beat a so-so fresh bagel in a taste test?

My dh spent a ridiculous amount to have pickles shipped from the Pickle Guys for my birthday. I totally understand, OP. Especially this year when I haven't had my regular NY visitors to support my pickle and bagel habits.

I love carbs and I’m very thin. I run a lot and need carbs. I buy bagels from Goldberg’s. Where is Goldbelly?

Goldbelly is an online company that ships food from various places. I think you can get a Russ & Daughter lox platter too if you want to go all out.

Goldbelly is a delight for indulging in hometown favorites. Personally, I keep a few Imos pizzas from St. Louis in my freezer.

Shipping can be super high ($50) for a Russ last week, or the prices of the food are inflated for shipping. But hey, better than driving there.

St. Louis Pizza sounds rough I'm not going to lie. Cracker like crust? But I HATE Swiss Cheese and I think it contaminates everything it touches so I think that's my big objection.

My indulgence is the Hershey's candy cane kisses that you can only get at Christmas.

In January, I found them on clearance at a small grocery store and bought 12 bags of them. 1 bag a month to last me until next Christmas.

I have 3 bags left.
