does anyone know what "Montgomery Preference" means? If you look at the lists for some of the schools, this is indicated. (I saw it on Janney PreK)

We're in-boundary accepted to Cooke for PS as well. Waitlisted for Bancroft and Thomson, but Cooke is far, far too close to home to turn it down. We're reassess next year if we want to try to move.

I went through the Pre-k process last year and my numbers were dismissal except one.
I applied for

Hearst 38
eaton 69
stoddert 7
lafayette 89
hyde 37

The numbers were my position on the waitlist.

Unless you are accepted, you cannot predict your outcome until the first day of school. Hearst was the only school which called to offer me a slot 3 weeks before school opened. never heard from Stoddert.......It is too early to panic.......AND yes, I am very happy with Hearst despite the negative press on this forum....

waitlist # 5 at Oyster (english) and the rest of them way further down the line. I should have applied to some privates!! ughh..what to do, what to do????

12:31 is that for Pre-K? Can you keep your kid in daycare, if s/he is there? That's going to be my strategy next year: apply to public schools, keep him in daycare if we don't get in anywhere.
