Framing Britney Spears

I don't think she's schizophrenic but bipolar with very poor impulse control.

This is way worse.

Schizophrenia in and of itself is NOT a reason to strip someone of their rights. I have two family member with schizophrenia whose affairs I am managing. They have been on the equivalent of 5150 holds several times before we were involved. It’s unfortunate but I guess because no one can take advantage of them, no court sought to place them under the equivalent of a conservatorship. POAs and proper treatment were more than enough to ensure they are ok. Are things perfect? No. But they are adults who have a right to their autonomy and money as long as they can show they remain on their medication and under treatment. And that is all managed for years without a conservatorship.

Yes depending on the degree they do need management. Brittany has plenty of freedom, and a court has determined what is best in her situation.

(1) the Court's analysis is ongoing, as it should be. (2) If you read my post, you would realize that there are degrees where someone's affairs may be managed without a conservatorship. Britney herself has stated that she wants help managing her affairs if the court ends the conservatorship.

And even if she is bipolar, that is also not a reason. I have a bipolar friend with an extremely high level clearance and high profile job. As long as her medications are properly managed, she is fine. Remember, Britney was well enough to make millions of dollars and perform on stage weekly during a significant time period while under this conservatorship.

DP. In general, a POA does not include medical treatment and for a healthy adult, there is no way for any other person to control their medical treatment. A conservatorship is the main mechanism to control another person's medication.

So happy to hear she’s free from her dad.

Begins?
What are you talking about? Her entire career and life are about her body.
Her entire self worth is wrapped up in it.
These pics are to be expected.
Also: her body looks amazing.
If I looked like that, I’d run around naked too.

Look I’m sure her dad approved all the doctor visits to plastic surgery she wanted over the past 13 years, but wouldn’t let her take out an IUD. He was more interested in making money off her.

Her dad would not care about her mental health at all if he couldn’t make millions off of it.

Although her photos aren’t to my taste, she can do whatever she wants. She has more singing talent than most of us and has made way more money—and did some of it despite being a prisoner to her dad. Go get it, B!

I really don't understand why celebs insist on posting pictures of themselves naked to the world

But, whatever-just hope this dude doesn't bleed her dry

Those pictures are highly photoshopped. You too can have naked photos like that!

Very sad all around for Britney and her sons. If she lives that long, Britney will likely be in a most unfortunate mental state in 20 years.

His efforts have been imperfect, but I do think Jamie Spears loves his kids. I think his mother's suicide impacted him greatly. Also think Britney will be another tragic figure similar to Anna Nicole, Elvis, etc.

Wow, that didn't take long. Sigh, indeed.

Sad truth...she probably shouldn't have more kids.

Agree. She doesn’t know how to engage in the world any other way. She doesn’t know how to be seen or heard any other way. It is sad. I think she is stuck being 18 forever.
