You are wrong. Players have to have good grades, tough courses, and strong scores, but the schools themselves play no role in getting recruited to these schools. Club relationships get them there. Speaking from direct experience.

How about for the Capital players? JB was not involved in the recruiting of those players?

No. It’s well known capital doesn’t assist the SSSaS girls. It’s all Kathy. Has been discussed on many of the threads.

Stop acting that that is such a unique feature to capital. All of the clubs shift their focus during the recruiting years. The tournaments are no longer championship format and are all showcases. The other clubs may not have an equal playing time policy, but every girl gets minutes, coaches are mindful of when colleges that certain kids are interested in are present etc. The Maryland teams have the depth to use a more equal playing time approach and STILL remain in the top of the rankings without having to justify lower rankings because of equal playing time like capital.

If the focus is on recruiting in high school, why would a club not do 50/50 minutes? That would help girls develop more and be seen more. It makes no sense to give measly minutes to some girls to preserve the win.

This is a tellingly defensive response that avoids the question. Capital has always been a high school team. The argument of the M&D DC boosters on this page is that they can start earlier and develop strong teams that don't need to try out for Capital, highlighting their 2029 team, which includes 9 players from another club poached before the 8th grade season. If the argument for M&D DC has any weight, they should have strong teams being pulled together at 2030 and 2031 playing in NGLL. But they don't...

Wait a minute - all of this M&D DC yap and the team is built off a bunch of girls that left Pride just this year?

Not even thought of until those girls came over. We only came because of the free registration.

Actually, Pride came over because NL was consistently beating them. If you can’t beat em, join em!

They over index on academics and TOP 25 D1 programs! Your point? Are you kidding?
Ivy leagues don’t do a fifth year and rarely deal with the transfer portal so you’re more likely to get playtime! Plus, it is one of the toughest leagues in D1 women lax with most Ivies/high academics landing in the top 25 D1 polls any given weekend during the D1 season.

No one is getting measley minutes anywhere unless they're way over their head, and no one intimated that.

If this is just an innocent question, coaches don't go seeing 100s of club teams repeatedly, and there are tiers like everything. Clubs don't maintain their tier, everybody's odds drop down a notch (or 3) as to what college tier they'll land at.

Impressive, they get to go to those schools, they get to pay full tuition and will also get no play on the field, and that everyone is the Capital way...

Of the 14 Capital players at Ivy programs last year: Over half (8) played every game, one played in 50% of the games, five played in fewer than 50% of the games, and four made All Ivy.
