Capital ensures that every player gets equal playtime, which is a key factor in their successful recruiting efforts. Coaches appreciate the depth of the team and recognize the contributions of each player. While Capital could potentially have a higher national ranking, they prioritize equal playtime to provide opportunities for all players. This approach may not result in top rankings, but it certainly leads to recruiting success. Capital's focus is on getting all girls recruited, rather than just a few superstars. If you have the opportunity to play for Capital, don't think twice - go for blue or orange!
Stop acting that that is such a unique feature to capital. All of the clubs shift their focus during the recruiting years. The tournaments are no longer championship format and are all showcases. The other clubs may not have an equal playing time policy, but every girl gets minutes, coaches are mindful of when colleges that certain kids are interested in are present etc. The Maryland teams have the depth to use a more equal playing time approach and STILL remain in the top of the rankings without having to justify lower rankings because of equal playing time like capital.
If the focus is on recruiting in high school, why would a club not do 50/50 minutes? That would help girls develop more and be seen more. It makes no sense to give measly minutes to some girls to preserve the win.
No one is getting measley minutes anywhere unless they're way over their head, and no one intimated that. If this is just an innocent question, coaches don't go seeing 100s of club teams repeatedly, and there are tiers like everything. Clubs don't maintain their tier, everybody's odds drop down a notch (or 3) as to what college tier they'll land at.
