Players finish a degree at an Ivy and transfer out to WIN a championship! Every player wants to win a championship whether they are at Harvard or Northwestern. You being unable to wrap your head around that shows your lack of intelligence AND athleticism. |
True for all the DC clubs. Way too many clubs and not enough coaches |
Exactly – and that perfectly proves my point. Those players chose the Ivy League or high academic *first* for their undergrad degree: stability, no 5th years taking spots, and elite academics. Winning a championship *later* via a post grad transfer (often with a funded Master's degree-a brilliant move!) is a separate, opportunistic phase. It doesn't change the fact that during INITIAL recruitment, many top students specifically seek out environments like the Ivies precisely because they prioritize the undergrad academic experience and roster stability over immediately chasing a title. Both choices – starting at an Ivy and transferring for a post grad year – can be smart, strategic, and driven by different goals at different times. |
You’re a clown |
You’re talking like the majority of student athletes do a 5th year, but only a small percentage do. |
Correctamondo. Confirms Inside Lacrosse rankings. Has nothing to do with RPI rankings. |
And you were talking like every player should want to attend a school solely for the chance to win a national championship. Many players have different priorities and may not be interested in UNC, Maryland, or BC just because of their championship wins. I recently heard that a 2025 player decided to decommit from BC to Duke due to all the transfer portal adds. Personally, my child would prefer to attend an Ivy League school or a high academic institution over the three mentioned schools. |
