If you just look at the rosters if hard to escape the conclusion that Good Counsel is the 2nd best team in the WCAC behind SJC. Gonzaga and PVI look about even for third.

GC will have a highly successful season. Anything less than final 4 in wcac will be unexpected.

I’ll take GZ over GC any day of the week.

GC coaching is suspect at best.

Sorry Dane

Why? Multiple winning seasons at SAES of all places and won right away at GC. Played in college and coached in college.

The Eagles beat GC twice last year.

18-10 in early April and then again 18-6 in the WCAC playoffs. The games weren’t close after halftime.

The Eagles will be the favorite when they meet again this spring.

GZ 2025's are way stronger than GC.

What roster are you looking at? If it's what's on IL then there are only 3 defenders and a LSM listed. I'm sure this list isn't 100% complete, but if there was a ton of defensive depth and talent then I'd imagine we'd see more '25 and '26 commits?

Offensively GC will be legit, but not so sure about the other end of the field.

Gonzaga's biggest issue is the goalie position. hope they upgraded.

Spring of 2025 might be one of the weakest Zaga teams in years - certainly in the post-Covid era.

The Eables JV teams used to be very competitive now, they now resemble rec play.

King needs more oversight of the program.

King needs to get out to the fields and recruit during the summer.

He is a VP at Clark Construction, he has a life, a family and doesn’t have time for that shit.

They need to make a change if that’s his mentality. The God is purple is only going to trick so many people.

The guy won the WCAC last year after not doing so for the previous 4 (granted no champ during covid). They definitely got better as the season progressed and they beat GP and Bullis and lost a one goal game to Landon. Is he doing something right or something wrong?

Did GZ really improve throughout the course of the spring last year? SJC was down for their lofty standards.

Eagles start the season hot as the majority of their squad are year-round lax bros.

They were very lucky to beat Prep as the Hoyas failed to clear the ball twice in the final 2 minutes of regulation.

As for the Landon game, the Eagles blew a 7-goal halftime lead. Landon clearly made adjustments at halftime and dominated the game in the 2nd half to win.

They beat SJC twice last Spring, but the Cadets were pretty young—several of their starters last Spring were 2026s. Everyone saw how much SJC improved throughout the season from March to May, which is a sign of a very strong coaching staff.

It could very well be a long season for Gonzaga this spring as both their 2025 and 2026 classes are weaker than normal.

So much to unpack here.

"GZ starts out because lax bros"
- proceeds to lose 4 of 1st 5 games

"GZ was lucky because GP blew a lead"
- Also you: "GZ outadjusted because they blew a lead"

"SJC clearly improves throughout year"
- SJC loses about every OOC game and then plays the friendly confines of the WCAC
- Also: SJC romps GZ 1st time around (not 2 losses) by 7 goals, then is outadjusted and loses to GZ in the one WCAC game that matters, their last one. After all that improving and adjusting.
- Also: after taking a 9 win, 8 loss DM in OT by a 9-8 score, SJC "improves and adjusts" by winning 9-8 in regulation against said 9-8 team

You'll excuse me if I take your predictions with skepticism.
