| Yes MC played for McDonogh. |
I am pretty sure he played in the scrimmages yesterday. |
|
Given the limited chatter from the SJC faithful, I'm guessing SJCs performance against Saint Mary's was just so-so
|
I am not an SJC person but was there and both teams looked pretty good to me. Not sure who was still on the field but there was one point where SJC scored 5 or so straight goals. SJC is not filled with physical specimens but they play very well together and are very smart. Give them a few more weeks of practice and they will roll against a many teams. |
Even until half. St. John’s pulled starters after that. St. John’s put it on St. Albans. If they are supposed to compete in the IAC than the IAC isn’t good. |
Heard mcd raced out to a big lead and started substituting liberally. |
|
If raced out to a big lead you mean 2 then sure. By the time the first lines were out the game was tied.
3-3 end 1 6-6 end 2 8-7 landon end 3 9-7 landon final |
I'm not a fan of putting too much emphasis on scrimmage results but your source is blowing smoke. The score was 4-3 McD after the 1st quarter, the Bears were up by one at the break. Both teams started subbing in the 3rd. Landon was missing a few hockey players due to the state playoffs and a few wrestlers competing at National Preps. All in all, I'd say it was a fairly even contest. I thought McD looked more polished on offense but Landon appeared to be the more athletic team in-between the lines. Truth be told, I'm sure if the older Millon played, the outcome could have been slightly different. Hopefully, he comes back soon. |
Not sure why everyone entertains these MIAA homers. They just can’t handle that the MIAA is not what it used to be. Not even close. Look what happened last year in real games against their top teams. |
I heard STA was missing their entire starting defense including some guys who made the preseason all area teams. That’s the difference. STA has no depth. Still, one of the STA frosh scored a one armed goal against the vaunted St. John’s goalie. Was pretty impressive even to a neutral observer. |
Where was their defense? |
Just not true for the first half. But you Landon moms keep thinking this is the year to regain the glory. |
Hurt. |
I agree with this statement. |
STA was missing a bunch of starters including offensive players as well. They definitely got outplayed but there were a bunch of kids who had never played in a varsity game before playing significant minutes. Even if it’s a scrimmage, St. John’s is a quality opponent and a tough first time draw. The best play of the day though was the STA LSM pump fake and blast past the St. Anne’s goalie. He never saw the ball. |
