| Don’t know how DMVlax ranked GP second. GP lacks depth, also heard their JV struggled as well. Future not so bright for GP? |
|
Prep doesn't have mich depth as their JV was very ordinary last season.
PVI was the more athletic team across the board today, and it showed in all areas of the field. All though it was only a scrimmage, Prep's lack of depth and athleticism showed today. |
| Prep has some good players but none are the type of players that can take over a game. Duenkel is the only player in the DMV that is capable of taking over a game when it’s needed. |
| Any other scrimmage impressions? |
| Duenkel isn’t playing this season. |
Why not? |
| A scrimmage is a scrimmage, especially the first week of the season. However, Prep has more talent than anyone in the area. If they are not winning then it is clearly a coaching issue. They need to be brought together with team trust, team camaraderie, team spirit, and team communication. They need to learn to work together. Improve communication. Better plays for offense and defense. Ground balls. Clearing. Throwing/passing faster and better. Communication from coaches and among players. The coaches can’t just sit back and expect this team to know how to work together and the talent to naturally just pull off a win. It takes a team (players and coaches) working effectively together to accomplish that. |
| Didn’t see the talent yesterday. Issues could be coaching related but it could also be that GP just isn’t that good. Maybe more practices and by end of season it will turn around for them. |
| Anyone have notes from the SJC vs St Mary's scrimmage yesterday |
The Landon - McDonogh scrimmage was very even. The Bears lead 7-6 at halftime and had a one-goal advantage at the end of the 3rd. Both teams really started to sub mid-way through the 3rd quarter; the 4th quarter was a running clock with what appeared to be JV kids still trying out for their respective programs. The older Millon did not play as he was limping around in a walking boot. |
????? |
| Duenkel is done for the year.. poor kid. |
| Fake News |
silly Prep Dad talk... the advantage your son had as a 17-year-old sophomore really starts to dissipate by the time the senior year comes around when normal-age kids catch up mentally and physically. Prep has more 19-year-old seniors on its roster than any school in the area followed by Gonzaga. |
Did Prep’s old LSM play? |
