Canada Truck Convoy, what to think about it?

These aren’t protesters. They are economic terrorists. They are using their occupation to wage economic terrorism on the people of Canada. I totally agree. But even if you only call them protesters, protesters get arrested all the time. If you’re going to put yourself out there, part of it is accepting the consequences. Jonathan Turley, The latest normal person to have lost his mind in service of the idiot right wing this week, actually said “By this rationale, they could have cracked down on the Civil Rights movement. They could have arrested Martin Luther King." Well yeah, Martin Luther King was arrested. A LOT. He even wrote a letter from a jail that Turley should probably read. Protesters are arrested. BLM protesters were arrested. Multiple members of Congress have been arrested for protesting voting bills in the past couple years. It doesn’t make the governments arresting them fascist or the leaders of those governments tyrants.


The Montgomery bus boycotts were an economic weapon just as the truck convoy is. And the protestors in Montgomery probably were called traitors and terrorists too. Back then the cops used German Shepards whereas today it is horses in Ottawa. Sadly.


The buses did not stop running in Montgomery. They were available for people to use.

The videos posted here are so mild. Do you think those police should just sit there and say "pretty please" when people are failing to obey the law? Honestly, I would prefer to have Canadian police here. I saw no tasers being pulled.

Sure. But, only deploy them on groups that you are opposed to, right?
These protesters are not violent. The police, however, are using violent tactics.

Sure. The government has a responsibility to protect Canadians. These are white nationalist and foreign actors dedicated to overthrowing the Canadian government. I wish they would seize the assets of these truckers and track down everyone who is involved. It is amazing at how upset criminals get when the government comes after them. Wish the US would go after the Jan 6th’ers the same way. Hopefully this will scare away any of these type of terrorists actions in the US.

The Ambassador bridge is one of the most important border crossings between the US and Canada. 25% of US-Canada trade flows via that bridge. Truckers illegally occupied it and shut it down for the last several weeks.

What if it had been ISIS and they had set off demolition charges that damaged the bridge and caused it to shut down? And what if it was found that Americans had funded the ISIS cell that set off the explosives? How would that be any different?

To be honest, first and the second weekend it seemed they were joined by thousands, and then... they were just parked in some streets.
That was the extent of their protest after a while.
