Favorite postpartum workout program?

I’be had a very difficult pregnancy with extended bed rest and semi-debilitating pelvic pain once I was finally cleared from bed rest. I’ve gained a ton of weight and generally feel weak and terrible. I can’t wait to start getting back into shape after I have this baby and I’m looking for advice on at home workout programs that you’ve liked. I’ve always been an avid gym goer and never done an at home program - my last two pregnancies I just used the gym childcare and went pretty much every single day, but obviously that’s not possible now. I’d particularly like a program that starts very gentle as I’ve had tearing my last two deliveries that took a while to feel 100% and I’d guess I’ll have the same this delivery.

The Sweat app is amazing

How about trying out postpartum yoga workouts? There are a lot on youtube and you could try to find the right level of energy/a teacher you like

You might try the fit4baby series offered by fit4mom. It’s pre and post natal, with lots of modifications. You could make it a much more gentle workout.

Walking, it was my favorite activity and I could do it with the baby in any weather (except heavy rain or snow). Just bundle the baby super well, and go walk while she’s sleeping.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to do the long walks with this baby that I enjoyed with my last. My oldest is 6 and doesn’t really fit in the double stroller and isn’t capable of long walks/scooter rides (he has some physical developmental issues). I think I’d benefit most from a structured program I can do at home. Definitely looking into the sweat app and Momma Strong - thanks for the recs and I’d love any others that anyone else has enjoyed!

I love Barre3 and did it consistently for 2 yrs after having my second. You can make it easier with modifications or go all out with heavier weights. Or try the prenatal ones to ease in.

There’s an app called Matriarc that leads you through the first two months of core rehab exercises. It’s 7-10 minutes per day and starts incredibly gently, slowly building up to more Pilates moves. Highly recommend for a gentle first step to help strengthen your core before taking on any more strenuous exercise.
