The best feel good kids movie is the most recent version of The Grinch. It is unexpectedly one of the best kids movies made in a long time.

The Lion King is not appropriate for a lot of young kids especially if they have any sensitivity about death. The scene with the father being killed can be very upsetting.

I like frozen II and monsters inc well enough. I hate any version except the old grinch. My kids love sound of music and wizard of oz too. Moana is great but too much for my kids right now. We watched it to see if they’d be ready but that lava monster is scary af.

It's not even a question. I've watched all the major kids' movies. Hayao Miyazaki's animated masterpieces are beyond anything Pixar ever did... let alone the awful pre-Pixar Disney.
