This is so funny you say this. A year ago aN older guy painting my house saw I have young children and told me he thought they would really enjoy it. I never heard of it and assumed it was some new Pixar movie. I did a quick google and saw it was some 80s Japanese anime and thought that was a strange recommendation. But I guess he was onto something.

+1 for Totoro. It's a very sweet movie.

Way too scary. The dad dies and the scenes with Scar are too much.

NP. Maybe too scary for you, but not for me!

This is kind of a sad one but totally masterful.

I think ponya is very strange. Too quirky for me.

Ponyo was a weird movie. Her dad dressed like Michael Jackson.

It warms my heart to see so many fans of Totoro. It was the first Japanese movie I watched (in Japanese class in the 90s) and is now a favorite of my son’s.

All the old school Disney movies.

We love all of these. I love Wall-E. I love the story of UP, not necessarily the whole movie. Coco was so much better than I initially thought it was going to be. Sing and the Kung Fu Panda movies are just a lot of fun. There is a lot heart and depth in the Cars movie. I watched Soul last night with the family. We all liked it, but I felt that many of concepts were too adult for kids to really appreciate. It was another Pixar movie with a lot of depth to it. Arthur Christmas is another fun one.
I know Op asked for G movies, but I wanted to add a musical that my kids have watched (repeatedly) and enjoyed. My kids fell in love with Greatest Showman.

My friend's son was super sensitive, and from ages 4-6 he could not watch anything, be it TV or movie, other than WALL-E, which he loved and watched all the time! Ha! It's a good one in my book too.

Another vote for Wall-E. I adore that movie.

Ah, yes, the Little Mermaid. Where the moral of the story is: if you are pretty enough, and don't say anything, he'll love you.

Which may be slightly better than Beauty and The Beast, where the moral was: if I love him hard enough, he'll stop abusing me.

My sensitive 6 yr old enjoyed the Sword in the Stone (I also like it).

I liked Milo and Otis as a kid.
