Totoro is the best of those three by far. I actually did not like Ponyo at all.

Omg, seriously? That movie was so boring!

Wall-E is great/sweet but I was honestly shocked at the not so subtle judgment on sedentary lifestyle. All the people in space being obese from laziness. Wow. I would be offended if I was overweight.

I felt the same way.

It kind of ruined the movie for us. My son kept asking me “why is everyone so fat?” so I spent half the movie explaining that and why we don’t call people “fat” because it can hurt their feelings etc.

I love this thread! I bookmarked it and my family is working through some of the suggestions. I'm searching for Totoro, Ponyo and Kiki’s Delivery Service.

Shall we call fat people skinny? Fat people are fat.

How about we just not imply that they’re subhuman? That’d be cool.

How has no one said Finding Nemo? It's by far my favorite. Ellen makes that movie!

The correct term for a fat person is metabolically challenged.

The correct term for a cheater is monogamously challenged.

Be polite people. No need to insult.

Jesus. Or maybe let the movie have its teachable moment which allows you to not be the bad guy when explaining that they are all so fat because they sit around all day eating food.
