Persons leaving their residences shall wear a face covering when they are likely to come into contact with another person, such as being within six feet of another person for more than a fleeting time.

Isn't that what was already in place? |
| Hope it’s picked up by the media otherwise the false message is already out there. |
OP here. Should have said Montgomery CLARIFIES order. Most of DCUM was dancing in the streets (alone with their masks on) yesterday. |
Now there will be disagreement over how long a fleeting time is. |
This is only difficult for idiots to understand. A pass on the sidewalk/path/trail? It doesn't get more fleeting than that. Nobody is getting covid briefly passing a person from less than 6ft. Absolutely no one. |
| Glad to hear it. That makes a lot more sense than what some folks were claiming yesterday. |
The earlier PP's statement is still correct. Some will still argue masks are required on sidewalks, and will ignore any post asking them what"fleeting" means to them |
|
DC also has a "fleeting" exception, fyi.
I don't know what's hard to get about "maintain social distancing." The word "maintain" = for a period of time. Sustained, prolonged, etc. There's nothing to "maintain" if you are passing someone on a sidewalk in half a second, from 1ft away. You don't get covid passing someone so briefly. If it were that incredibly contagious, we'd all have had it by now. |
No. Mask were only required indoors. |
Previously masks were required outdoors where social distancing was not possible. It's almost the same thing. |
Yes masks were required outdoors if you are in crowds, thanks for the clarification. It’s not really different, its a clarification. |
| That's too bad about the revised order, my husband and I were looking forward to full enforcement of a zero tolerance policy by any means necessary. |
What plans did you have in place for confronting the lawless before your hopes were dashed? |
